Missouri game Sept 12
Missouri game Sept 12
Anyone else heading out to Missouri for the BG football game next season. We are heading out early and going to Branson for some shows. Direct flights from Detroit to Springfield/Branson and flying back out of St. Louis direct flight to Detroit.

It's on the radar for me, but still nothing official.

Open with Troy at home on the last Thursday of August. At Missouri Sept 12, MAC games scattered on various Tuesdays through Fridays from October through November.FortWayneFalcon wrote:I'd like to plan for it.
I haven't seen a '09 tentative schedule posted lately. Would someone please provide a link.
Thank you!
(Read: The first two I know for a fact, the rest I have no clue about. MAC schedule probably won't be released for another month at least.)

Re: Troy game
I swore it was some time in August, but you're probably right. That would make for a VERY early August game, and this way it's still part of Labor Day weekend. Either way, I should be able to make up for the opener.doughash wrote:I'm pretty sure the Troy game is Thursday Sept. 3rd.

If you two are driving down you've got a place to stay 10 hours from Akron and 9 hours from Sanibel (we drove to Sanibel for a work conference in Nov.). Just let us know!Falconfreak90 wrote:Mrs. Freak and I will be on Sanibel Island at that time....hoping the game will be on ESPN.

Nothing is official when it comes to MAC scheduling. With that in mind, here's what I am expecting.FortWayneFalcon wrote:I'd like to plan for it.

It'll be a challenging schedule, but not as brutal as the last 2 years. Missouri and Troy will be tough, yet winnable games.

Thanks ya'll!
Wow, that's a tough call between Missouri and Marshall, if I had to pick between. I did really like that movie "We Are Marshall", and so did my family. We've driven through that area a few times, and it would seem to be a very interesting area to take a long weekend., you know, hills and such. Missouri probably has some sights also, but I've never been there.
Many of you have certainly been to both places. It can't possibly be to early to start the debate, can it? While I probably don't have the cash to go to both games, I could certainly do one of them up proper.

That Sked works for me.
DD,
Thanks for the offer but we're flying from Akron/Canton into Ft Myers...with a stop in Atlanta. Check this out....We leave Sunday 9/6 at 5:45 AM and get into Ft Myers by 11:20. We fly outta Ft Myers Sunday 9/13 at 5:30 PM and, after another stop in Atlanta, get into Akron/Canton at 10:08. Talk about stretching as much time as we can. I go back to work the next day at 8:30.
Plus, with the home opener on the 3rd, I'll need a half day there and take the 4th off as well. Sept 3 at 12:30 to Sept 13 at 11 PM....This is gonna be too much. I'm sure we'll make the trip to Huntington. Sept can't get here soon enough in 09.
