DT Chris Jones, who had been committed to BG at least as a soft commit all along but had also been considering Toledo and Illinois State, has made his final decision to stick with Bowling Green after his official visit to BG last weekend. Congrats guys.

Who is Chris Jones? Is there any info on this kid? I'm curious, because he might be the first DT in a while that we'll have with some size.

I think he might be the recruit from Brownsburg, Indiana. He played his first couple years of high school in Michigan and his family moved to Brownsburg.
Brownsburg is one of the fast growing areas of Indiana, but there football program has been pretty weak. There more known for their baseball program.

Glad to hear that he's staying with us...A very reliable source says he's a true run stopper, very "wide" as well as in the 285-290 lb area, which would make him bigger than most of our current OT's. He'd been listed as a "soft verbal" after the coaching change, not surprising since UT went after him immediately. But again, glad to see he's not going over to the "dark side".

Your gonna love Chris. He played for my old High School in Midland, MI. He made several post season teams as a sophmore offensive lineman. He loves the game. I know he is originally from Columbus, OH, so he has moved around quite a bit with his family. He was a very good student also. He will be a very good addition to your team.
