PJ on the Street Again

Post by Rollo83 »

PJ Pope was released today by the Broncos. I guess they had just too many running backs that would be competing for a job this fall. Plus, with the new coaching staff, he'd be starting all over again there anyway.

Lets hope he showed enough in Denver to get a look somewhere else this fall.

Denver is always a clusterfudge of running backs. I am glad he's out of there...maybe he can get somewhere he can get some minutes at.

I don't know if I'd say glad he's out of there. Denver WAS always full o' runningbacks, but with a new regime that could easily change. It would seem to me that your always closer to having some PT when you're actually on contract with a team
Finally a senior!

If I were the coach of the soccer team I would vote for getting rid of the pseudo-sport.

If I were the coach of the hockey team I would not survive, because I don't like ice and it's too damned cold.

Do we still have a men's tennis or golf team? I suck pretty badly at both games, but at least they're not soccer!

How about Rick Chryst's successor?

I thought if you had to choose, you'd go with the women's gymnastic team

That might be a fun job, although I know next to nothing about gymnastics!

I thought Snakeman had that title, but I'm sure he'd share it with you...for a free beer!!!!! :-D
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
