Bedn but don't break works when we have a big lead. When the game is close, it sucks because we don't know how to just stop somebody without them helping us, i.e. turnovers, penalties, etc.

We need to come out and kill them in the third qtr. Our current defensive philosophy is not geared towards kiling anyone. I'd feel a whole lot better about this if we had gotten beat because we were too aggressive defensiely.

The thing that kills me is that we were one stop and one touchdown away in the third quarter from seeing the stands empty and the stadium turn into the Doyt Perry North.

I couldn't bear to leave at the end....I do have to admit that I walked out after TU's last TD....that was unacceptable.

UT's last touchdown was the best thing that could have happened for us. If they hadn't scored, they could have just kneeled and run out the clock. As it played out, we got the ball and scored and had another onside opportunity. Obviously it didn't work out, but we did have a chance with a minute to go to get an onside kick and get another scoring drive.

My thoughts exactly BGGrad01. I would like to see a coach have some balls some time and let the other team score on purpose that that is the only chance you have.

Nice to see some people starting to realize that our coaching staff isn't all its cracked up to be. A few weeks ago there were plenty of people here pimping Beckman as our future HC if Brandon leaves. I just don't see greatness in any of this coaching staff, I'm sorry.

I think everyone in our staff is about one position too high. Brandon needs to be an off coor. Stud needs to be a line coach. Beckman, well, I just don't think he cuts its as a def coor, but he has looked ok since the offense has been so good. All season, we couldn't count our the defense to get a stop when they needed too because they just relied on the offense outscoring the other team and forcing them into predictable plays. When the game was on the line or in doubt this year, our defense consistently got schooled.

Couldn't say it better myself. I've said all year that Stud is in over his head & Brandon is in a position that doesn't fit his strengths as a coach. Stud was a good OL coach & Brandon was a good OC; neither are strong in their current position.
