Haven't seen this mentioned yet. Assistant head coach Joe Trainer, who was just hired in December has left BG to take over the head coaching job at Rhode Island. Clawson said they are actively looking for a replacement right now.

The timing wasn't ideal, but I won't fault the guy for jumping at an opportunity to be a Division I head coach.
These hires really need to be made fast. Spring practice is coming around the corner and 1/3 of the coaching staff has yet to be filled.
One possibility for defensive coordinator is Joe Tresey, the DC last year at Cincinnati who has experience in the MAC at both Central and Akron. I'm still holding out hope we get Toledo's former ace recruiter, Chris Hedden, to coach the tight ends.

Dang, I had a feeling we wouldn't be hanging on to some of these coaches for too long but sheese , I was hoping for at least 1 year for most of them. The resume's for a lot of these guy is pretty off the charts and maybe this was to be expected.
Trainer was probably hoping for a HC gig anyway when he took the assistant job figuring , well might as well take this assistant job until the first HC job offer appears.
