Did anyone last night that would have been sitting in Sections 31 or 32 notice the lack of respect during the National Anthem? The fans in the student section in front of us - and this included ALOT of people - continued to yell and bang thunderstix during the entire National Anthem! People all around us were asking them to "shut up" - it was extremely disrespectful. I have been to thousands of football games - home and away in my life and never saw anything like that!!

Given the school and city it is in, why should anybody be shocked at the lack of class.

I too was diappointed by the lack of respect to our National Anthem. But patriotism isn't cool anymore.

Yes, I was appalled at the behavior the UT students during the National Anthem. I found it hard to believe that they could be soooooo disrespectful, so classless. I was also appalled that they (UT) were constantly ringing that ugly-sounding bell whenever Bowling Green was in a position to score. It was very distracting, and much too loud. The BG players had to be distracted by this. It was unsportsmanship.

That was quite annoying, along with those f***ing paper airplanes!!!!!

You should know that MANY of the paper airplanes were being thrown by a group of BG students who were sitting near me..off to my right...Their biggest "moment" came when one of the "aircraft" almost made it to the BG team bench!! Unfortunately, UT does not hold the complete control of idiots.

Maybe we are being too harsh. This was that school.

It may have been that they were engineering students taking their final exam. They would have taken another form of exam, but there weren't enough of them to screw in a lightbulb.
