We got a little "shout out" on Buffalo sports radio WGR this morning. They were talking about college sports betting. Here's the exchange:

Bob -- "You should always be leery when there's a team playing that is a state that isn't a state. For example Murray State, Weber State. "

Kevin --"I don't know. Bowling Green State. You could have made a lot of money last year betting on them."

Bob -- "That's exactly what I was saying, you should be leery of betting on the real states, when they play the non-states."

They went on to get more confused, but the bottom line was, don't discount the BGs of the world.

Personally, it was nice to hear us used as an example.

No way the NCAA would allow that. Wait until they find out!

I have never placed a bet on a sporting event other than putting in my dollar for our office pool when we had superbowl squares....and the $5 I spend on our office NCAA B-ball tourney....

But I am very tempted to put some money on the Falcons if we are getting 31 points.

I told my wife before the Purdue game, the Ohio State game, the last Missouri game and the fiesta Bowl 2003 (I knew Ohio State would win or keep it very close...Miami was favored by 13, I think) that I would bet on those games if I could. Those were the four times in my life I was SURE the line was wrong.

31 is too much.

Whenever they'd talk about betting on Howard Stern last fall, KC frequently said he would pick us ATS. He also said he lost a ton on the BG-MU games.
