Just checked out the Florence Phantom's website:
The Phantoms will feature a number of players from last year's championship team. However, AIFA Bowl II MVP Omar Jacobs will be missed. He is trying to make an NFL roster.
Is anybody able to shed some light on this situation and know what teams he is trying to get in with? Or for that matter, has he learned enough to be capable of running an NFL offense?

I know he was slated to play for the Arena league this year but maybe he garnered some attention for the nfl after having a good year.

It says he's moved on to Tampa Bay, but I don't know if that's another AIFA team or if it's the Buccaneers. One thing I do know, however, is that Jon Gruden loves to sign quarterbacks, and would probably have an entire team of QBs if he could. Just sayin...

Of course Gruden is no longer employed by the Bucs...

Quarterback and AIFA MVP Omar Jacobs had moved on to play with Tampa Bay. Wide receivers A.J. Bennett and Tres Moses also had tryouts with AFL teams, but the three high-school teammates will return to Florence for the upcoming season.
He's going to be back in florence because of the afl not having a season this year.

Oops... forgot. I guess I was stunned because it was such a stupid move to fire him
