Enough guys!!! MY GOD YOU DO THIS EVERY LOSS. We know bg isn't good in big games, not in football not in basketball not in hockey for you to blame the coaches is unreal!! Brandon wins goes 9-2 and he is a great coach, guys we lost 3 games don't you remember back when if we won 3 games we'd be happy??? Come on its a game let me say it again its a game. I'll be willing to talk about football, and what happened on the field but if you want to talk about how bad our coaches are or how much our players blew it or something like that if you want to start putting down our team after a whole season ( an 8-3 season) then i'm out i want no part of it. You guys do this after every loss and i am sickend by it everytime sometimes i just think that the people we think of as real bowling green fans just arn't!!!

I am just saying we made bad coaching decisions...

We abandoned our running game after the first play in the second half and we should not have went for the onside kick with 3:30 to go. I am not saying Brandon is a bad coach, just I feel made some bad decisions.

Yeah, but it was a horrible loss to our arch enemies while blowing a 20 point lead in one quarter!! This isn't any ordinary loss! This loss really puts things in perspective. We had a fantastic season, running up on the bottom dwellers of the country. When the big games came... we were no-where to be found. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge BG fan and nothing short of Ohio winning a Nat'l Championship would change that. Ok not even that! Let us be critical, we're still fans. We're still going to support our team through thick and thin. This was a huge loss, we're going to vent, let it happen, get over it.

I don't get what you're saying. We're just supposed to accept that we're not good in big games? Who does that blame fall upon? Apparently you don't think we shoudl continue to blame the coaching staffs, so if not them, who?

And in my defense you can pretty much count on me doing it after every win as well

The blame could be placed anywhere, the team, the coaches, ESPN, a lack of concentration, Pep boys, the solar system, or even immigration.

Yeah, we played like crap in the third and most of the fourth quarter. I was pissed too. We knew it was going to be a shootout and we knew it was probably going to be a close game. When the dust settled, toledo was on top. Both sides had a fair amount of bad decisions, both sides played through their frustrations and kept it close. So who is to blame? Everyone is to blame. You win as a team, and you lose as a team.

i'm just saying that look back in time find me a big game that we played in football basketball or hockey, and we lost why? i don't know but i don't think one coach or one player or one play does that to us. Maybe we just think we can't win those big games either way we don't win them and that's fact!!

This is exactly what I expected, game by game. Only surprise was the margin of some of our victories.

My problem is the OU game. Like Schaden said this season record, game for game, was EXACTLY what I expected the season to turn out like. The problem is that the OU game set my expectations much higher than what they were before that game. I thought we were gonna get drilled in that game, but we held our own. In doing so I think we set my, and other fans', expectations much higher than what they were coming into the season.

Then we follow that up by laying an egg at NIU, but then beat the living snot out of the lesser teams on our schedule. That starts to raise the bar a little bit. Unfortunately the team ended up being closer to the original expectation than the new raised bar expectation.

I think another reason for the heightened expectations was the overall state of our team. We returned a LOT of starters, many of whom were all-MAC caliber players. The big question mark was the QB play we'd be getting. When our QB play began to exceed even the play of Josh last season I think everyone started to put more and more expectations on this team.

So yeah, in the end things are pretty much where I thought they'd be, the rollercoaster ride was a lot more exhilarating than I thought.

Then you can't blame anyone for anything. If you set your own hopes higher than what is actually possible, you will be in for a let down. As a kid I dreamed of playing in the NBA so I do know what hopes and goals are. However, after screwing up both my ankles, my knee, and being white and not able to jump, I realize this will never happen. I could go and practice 24/7 the rest of my life and never make it and in doing so would be going for something I could never reach.

Is BG a better football team than TU? IMO they are but last night proved that wrong. You can't say that they are or they would have won. We may have decided not to show up in the 2nd half but we didn't win and therefore are not officially better. The only people who think BG is better will be fans of BG that know how good the team is. Unfortunately, hopes don't win games.

How quickly we forget the Blackney era. Since he left and Meyer/Brandon have taken over we're 36-12. Previously, a winning percentage like that was just a dream. Let's face it, we're all just going to have to admit to oursleves that we won't beat Toledo every year, that's why its one of the better rivalries in College football. It's competitive. This ain't Tennessee-Vanderbilt here, and although I know a bowl may have hung in the balance, let's not pretend like 9-2 is a world away from 8-3. We got beat by some quality teams, 1 of which is on the verge of a national title. Unfortunatly I feel as if we are taking 8 wins for granted as if 2-9 was that long ago, which it really wasn't. Don't hold it against this team that it's not as good as last year's, they had some tougher road games, but it doesn't mean they weren't fun to watch.

What fans often overlook is that for every great win ('03 NIU and Toledo), there is an equally dissappointing loss ('04 NIU and Toledo), and that's for every team, not just BGSU. No matter what happened at the Glass Bowl last night, it can't kill them memories of how thrilling it was to watch the Falcons play at Oklahoma, the great win against Marshall, or all the great moments of last season. I know it sucks, but let's just enjoy what we have had this year, whether it ends up in a bowl game or not, and look forward to next year. Believe it or not, when we kick it off in Madison next year, no one will be thinking much about this Toledo game.

No, we're saying we'd like to see us win a big MAC game (or, just not get embarrased) on the road at least once. And we're wondering why Toledo can do it and we can't.

And shouldn't a team with a 36-12 record have more to show for it then 1 division title?
