Hey Falcon fans!!!
We may be getting good news or bad news real soon, maybe today. My cousin just called me, he does some part time work in the training room and works with a few of the trainers. He did not go to the game last night, wasnt feeling well, but apparently when we went to the stadium today he saw the same lady, I guess its a lady, who was at the game last night representing the Silicon Valley Bowl. Maybe she was there to give an invite to BG, or maybe she was there to decline us an invite. Either way maybe we will know something. I am thinking if he know if we are going that they may announce it at the basketball game tonight

Has anyone heard anything about this bowl on other sites. I would think they would want to make an announcement ASAP before the other games are played this weekend. We just need to root against all the 5-5 schools to lose, then the MAC will get 4 bowls, maybe more

At the stadium I doubt that. Maybe she was getting footage to promote Northern Illinois.

As I stated somewhere else, I thought she almost slipped during the ESPN interview and invited Bowling Green right there during the game. I would not be surprised to see the SVFC still pick up BG and do it quickly.

I didn't see the interview, was at the game. I taped the game but have not watched it yet. Please tell me the interview was during the 1st half. Really dont know if I want to watch the second half.

She stumbled on her words, almost came out and said she expected one of the two teams playing to get an invite. Of course she couldn't do that until she knew who won. My thought would be that if BG had won, they would have gotten the invite. Miami and NIU would have gotten the other bids. Now they have to wait until the GMAC bowl picks, the MCB picks, and then decide between us and whomever is left.
She might have been telling BG what to expect, depending on who does what in the next couple of weeks.
The real question is which bowl is the magic fourth bid we are wondering about.

The interview was early in the game. Stone jumped on it quickly, but she backed off just as quickly.
That being said, I'd bet a shiny nickel that if BG has pulled that game out, they would have announced the bowl bid at the post game press conference. Just a hunch.

Maybe she was on campus at BGSU because she wanted to see what a great MAC campus is like instead of the criminal and whore laden campus she was on last night.

Thats true. Maybe she got hit on by the Toledo fans and came to BG to file a complaint

It's becoming less attractive. Check out the other thread. We can't assume Fresno State -- or any WAC team -- would be the opponent.

Hey, I'll take ANY bowl at this point and I don't care who we play. It can be the Toilet Bowl and I'll take it. We're a damn good team at 8-3 and with the players we have, I'd love to get one more game and a crack at only BG's seventh bowl game in school history. No way do I want our season to end with last night being the final game.
