I still love you. I'm mad but dealing with losses is part of what being a fan is all about. If you can't handle it maybe you shouldn't watch. My God Meyer was outcoached in 3 of his last 4 games here and no one was calling for his head on a platter. Suddenly we think an 8-3 season around here is horrible. insane.

Gregg Brandon received an e-mail from me this morning, thanking him for what he's done for the program. Noah's working on a "snail mail" to send over the weekend.

I agree that brandon is a great offensive mind and great guy. Also, for the most part, I think he handles players and certain controversies very well. However, I think he got outcoached last night, and game coaching is the last area he needs to improve on to move into the category of great college football coach. Of course this is understandable due to his lack of head coaching experience. Take this from the post, I am in no way trying to dump on coach brandon or panic about our situation, i would probably cry if he left in the near future. I think he's a brilliant football mind who will learn from his "alleged" mistakes, and improve greatly from year to year. Our program is going nowhere but up and he is a big reason for it and hopefully will continue to be.

Credit goes to Urban Myer for making our program one of the elites in the MAC. Brandon is carrying that tradition on now and has done a good job of keeping the momentum of the program moving forward. However, we must find ways to show-up and finish in big games.

Defense wins championships. Until we can find a defense to come close to matching our offense, were just Northern Illinois in orange uniforms. We need to get over the hump. We got to the top of the hill last year, but not quite over it.

Next two years could be special with returning team and upgraded new recruits.

You guys should definitely be holding your head high, you have amazingly talented players, NFL caliber players returning, and a QB who could turn out to be better then all other MAC qbs ever. Just keep winning, and things will take care of themselves!

I'm glad to see that there are some people on here that can keep a level head while all around them are losing theirs. People are complaining about our problem with big games. There also seems to be quite a bit of talk about how Urban did better in those type of games. However if my memory serves me correctly, Urban didn't win all of his big games either.

I see the next couple of years being very good for the Falcons on the gridiron. Omar will continue to mature as a player (he is only a soph after all, don't forget that), as will other key players. If we can get some good recruits in the next couple years we should be great. Bowl games, playing on national tv all help recruiting. I've been watching the prespective student athlete section of the stands during home games when I'm catching my breath from Pre-Game, and it has gotten fuller and fuller all season (and they're all there by the time we do Pre-Game!!!)

Win lose or draw, I still think this year was a good season. I think Brandon did the best job he could, given what he had to work with and his experience. I think we will only improve from here, both on the field and on the sidelines. The next couple of years should be really exciting for Falcon Football.

No one said Urban Meyer did better in big games. All I said was you have to give him credit for turning the fortunes of this program around.

Now, for Brandon to take us to the next level, we will have to start winning big games (including those on the road) if we are to win a MAC championship and not just the West Division.

I give Brandon credit befcause he is keeping us moving in the right direction.
