J5 on ESPN vs Atlanta 8-12-04

Post by ffejfalcon »

As much as I hate to even visit the Ravens web site, there was an article posted today on Josh and his progress in camp so far. looks like he will get a lot of PT against Atlanta (8-12-04 ESPN)

GO Josh!!

I hope Josh does great, wins the starting job, Ravens loose all their games, and he gets traded to Cleveland.

Did you hear the Ravens third jersey this year is an orange jump suit!!

Oh yeah - Go Browns!!

I thought you liked Josh.

Why in the world would you want to see him get traded to the CLOWNS of all teams?

Josh is a WINNER and belongs on a WINNING team!

So he went to a team where he's one of 2 people to not have a criminal record. Good for him. There is winning the right way and winning the wrong way. Everyone likes to harp on Marshall, UT, etc, about the ways they do certain things. The Ratbirds are the NFL's version of Free Shoes U.

The Browns WILL surprise this year, just watch. Adding a probowl quality QB will mean more to that team than anyone who hasn't watched them can imagine. People just have no clue how bad the QB play has been there the past 2-3 years.

Plus Winslow is in camp :)

Put me up with the original poster. J5 starts, loses every game, and is traded to C-town!

I want all my favorite players to be Browns!! I hope Cole gets drafted by my beloved Brownies next year.

You heard it here first - Cleveland will make the playoffs this year. There's gonna be a lot of this:

-Garcia to Northcutt - TD
-Garcia to Winslow - TD
-Garcia to Davis - TD
-Suggs up the middle for a 25 yard gain and another Browns first down
-Sack of the Qb by C.Brown for a safety

The defense was respectable last season while the offense was among the worst in the league averaging something like 16 points a game. The addition(s) of Garcia, Winslow, healthy Suggs, and a sober Willie Green could mean an additional 7-10 points per game. If the defense (which was still young in many areas) simply returns at the same level as last year they should be good for a few more wins at least.

it's not inconceivable that, with a healthy and focused william green and a well performing lee suggs, that the browns could have two 1,000 yeard rushers, as they did the last time they had one at all (byner and mack in 1985). i'm anxious for both orange and brown football squads this fall.

Very true. Remember that going into the 2001 College season William Green & Lee Suggs were the consensus #1 & #2 RB in the NCAA. Unfortunately Suggs tore up his knee, and Green missed a couple games due to suspension.

There is a ton of talent in those 2 RBs. If one stays sober, and the other stays healthy look out.

Packers vs. Ravens in Super Bowl

Post by transfer2BGSU »

After Brett Favre goes down in the first game of the season, backup QB Tim Couch leads the Green Bay Packers to the Super Bowl and victory over the Baltimore Ravens.

Go Bengals!

Falcons over the Sooners 31-28!

That's funny because the story out of GB camp is that Couch is stinking up the joint. Most fans think that Doug Pederson deserves to remain the #2 backup behind Favre. Apparently Couch is holding the ball too long, and struggles to read defenses. The Packer coaches are defending him by saying that he's just learning a new system.

Fact is I was a huge Tim Couch fan. I had his jersey and watched him play in every game he's ever played. Unless he's got the best OL in the NFL he will never lead a team to a superbowl. He gets happy feet, locks onto receivers, settles too early for the dumpoff, but waits too long to utilize the dumpoff. He could still become good, I don't know, but right now he is not an NFL QB. He just doesn't have it upstairs.

Ummmm, didn't they watch him play at all in the fives years? My ten year old son could have told you these things.

I know Warthog, but apparently the Green Bay fans were coming in with HIGH expectations for him. Not saying he'd unseat Favre, but that there would be no dropoff if Favre went down.

All I know is that for the first time in 5 years the Browns actually have an NFL QB on their roster! And I, for one, am psyched about it :)
