Hang on, I have to beat cowboy to it:

Does that mean he'll average 30 points a game on offense? That's going to be hard to beat.

Honestly, I love calling him GB, Jr. This will be fun.

It's not only the dorky visor, it's his mannerisms when addressing the media where I see a little GB in him.

well seeing as how last year the offense was being restricted and pts were down to 27 the year before at 30.2, the year before that 33.3 the year before that at 33.8 and in 2005 at 44.8 pts a game 2004 44.3, 31.5 in 01 vs 15.8 in 2000
Brandon was on clear downward path, he was not a good head coach, esp for a team that is a botom tier D1 program that needs to take huge risks to make a presence on very controlled discriminatory national stage.
It will be interesting to see what our new Coach does...does he lay it all out there, or just play the game.

When Meyer left, Beckman applied for the job along with Brandon and Brandon beat him out despite Beckman being a finalist for the Broyles Award just the year before. That should tell you everything you need to know. He's not head coaching material. He was never a good recruiter and doesn't have the temperment.

After 2001, his defenses were about as effective at stopping people as the levees were in New Orleans at stopping water. Pop the last time he directed a BG defense, against Memphis, into the DVD player for a reminder. It was almost the exact same thing during his two years at Oklahoma State and they were ready to run him out of town. Clawson had one bad year at UT with about a million extenuating circumstances. Beckman has had several opportunities to run a defense and rarely produced anything even mediocre.

I said early in the process that Beckman would be a disaster as head coach and rejoiced when Toledo hired him. Since then, he has gone out of his way to demean the University and community that offered him employment and a quality place to raise a family for many years.

Toledo hired a noisy, petulant child. BG hired a pro.

In Hollywood, producers hire Chris Tucker to handle the movie roles Chris Rock won't play because he's too big of a star.

Beckman is the MAC's version of Chris Tucker....
