Yeah, I kinda was bewildered here. This kid must play other positions as I don't think he'll be playing QB here. His stats are too underwhelming at qb to be thought of in that regard IMO.

So what type of offense does Cardinal Mooney run? Was he the full-time QB last year? Was he injured for any part of last year? What skills does this kid have?
You can't simply look at his Junior season stats in HS and project whether he can play QB for BG or not.

This. For sure.
HS stats are almost meaningless when it comes to projecting guys into college...especially for QBs if you don't have the background knowledge. There are so many offensive schemes, they all ask different things of their QBs. To really gauge whether a guy can play QB you have to see film of him...it's all about skillset. I know nothing about the kid, but if he has a skillset that the staff thinks will translate here that means far more than any statistics.
There are far too many talented players that put up no stats, and stat hounds that will never play D1A ball for me to really care either way about stats.

He must have some skill set based on the teams recruiting him. Cardinal Mooney is historically a good football program.

I am not sure all the numbers, but I grew up in youngstown and know Mooney ran the option alot and still do, however they have ran variations of the spread recently..... they are also a powerhouse in northeast ohio football and that is nothing to joke about pretty great competition .... my guess the kid is being recruited as an athlete; look that the other schools recruiting him some pretty good programs.

Not sure of this, but wasn't there ANOTHER Zordich from Mooney fairly recently who went pretty big time?
