Pizza, Pizza!

According to 97.1 TheTicket in Detroit that is supposedly going to be the new name of the Motor City Bowl. Like the Buick Open, the car companies' woes has hit the MC Bowl . Little Ceasar's is reportedly the new sponsor with no other changes contemplated.

Cool! Who doesn't like pizza?
If there is a pizza guy catering to the fans, I'm buying for sure!

Little Caesar's is the worst pizza. I would rather eat a frozen Totino's then that crap.
Back on subject, I am glad the bowl was able to secure a sponsorship.

There is no better deal in the world than the $5 large cheese from LC's. I mean, you don't even have to call ahead!

As far as pizza goes, Little Ceaser's is my guilty sin. No doubt it is at the bottom of pizza world, but yet I find myself having no problem eating a whole large one and liking it. Plus at 5.55$ its a great deal for getting a quick dinner and feeding 3 kids.

Detroit News article stating the same:
http://www.detnews.com/article/20090803 ... -City-Bowl" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The game is still scheduled for 1pm on Dec 26. That may cut into attendance if most fans have long drives, and don't want to travel on Xmas. There's no NFL games scheduled for that Saturday. It looks as though ESPN is scheduling the Hot N Ready Bowl as the first game of a triple-header that day.
I've gone to each game since '03, and the attendance has been good. I hope the 1pm start doesn't reduce it too much.
Of course, none of us would have long drives, so I know we'll all be there.

Great that the bowl picked up a pretty stable sponsor. I have to imagine that Little Caesar's is doing pretty damn well in this economy. $5 for a large pizza is a cheap meal! Yeah it's not the best pizza, but if you compare it to other chains I think it's just as good or better than Domino's or Marco's, and at a fraction of the cost with no wait.
As to the attendance, I do bet that there is a decrease in attendance. In my experience at the MCB (only when we played there) it seems as though a lot of the attendees were auto workers who got tickets from the company.

Ilitch has been awesome as a sponsor. GM always had a huge sign in Centerfield at Comerica Park. GM told the Tigers they were not going to sponsor the sign this year. Ilitch told them it was OK and put the sign up anyway, for free. Better yet, he put Ford and Chrysler signs in centerfield as well, with another sign that declares support for the auto industry.
Those big attendance numbers are legit. Central has filled damn-near half the stadium each year. Having Big Ten teams helps also.

Is it the LittleCaesars.com bowl? Papa John might not be too happy about this.
Mr. Ittlitch... will you now buy the Lions? PLEASE... not that I am a Lions fan, as I have always been with the Cardiac Kids... but you could actually reward the good people of Detroit with a playoff appearance!

Why no love for Tontino's? That stuff is the bomb. Jeno's is awesome, too. Add a little bit of your own mozzarella. My gawd, I'm drooling just thinking about it.

Phew! Glad they got a sponsor.
As for LC ... I ate more than my share covering the CCHA playoffs up in Joe Louis Arena. The press box had all you could eat, and as a college student, I could eat plenty!
