Dennis Dodd has an article on cbssports.com right now about the BCS this decade. He goes through every year and reviews each championship game since 2000. He mentions BG keeping Auburn out of the title game in 2004 by pulling out of the game at Auburn and going to Oklahoma. He then says that Paul Krebs might be the most influential AD on the BCS of the decade because of that and the hiring of Urban Meyer at BG. Here is the link:

I saw that article too and got a good laugh. When we were down in Mobile we ran into some Auburn fans who absolutely hated us. They all thought that had we played Auburn instead of Oklahoma, they'd have run all over us and made it to the national title game. Maybe, but we gave Oklahoma a lot more than they expected. Man, that BG/Oklahoma game sure was fun and was a great way to put Omar on the national screen.

Great article. As much as I thought Paul Krebs made some mistakes in the short amount of time he and I were in BG at the same time, it seems that he definitely did some good things during his tenure.
