Tonight's Scrimmage etc.

I thought the offense looked better than the "D", which was a suprise for this early in the seasons. Curious as to what others thought.

The BIGGEST disapointment was opening up the season ticket package, looking thru it, getting my nice ORANGE season ticket holder parking pass and then seeing my "elite" pass for Lot L that is BLUE!!! WTF? Do we have some idiots making these decisions? We could do white, brown, tan, black or any combination of those with orange, but NO............ we do BLUE!!!!! Can you imagine sitting in on that meeting and someone saying......."yeah....let's make our elite season parking passes BLUE!" Maybe we could put some yellow lettering on them too, or make them scarlet and gray! Some people in our administration do not have a clue! At least they could have made them Miami red!!!!

:butthead:

On a whole other note.....I see the "field goal net" at the south end is still not up, so I'm sure we'll be embarassed again this season, struggling to get it up after every XP! Par for the course.

Can someone confirm who number 19 was tonight at wide receiver? If this was Joplin then Falcon fans better get ready for our first game-breaker since Steve Sanders or Charles Sharon. He made some great plays including a long catch and run weaving through traffic and scoring from a long way out.

I believe the wide receiver you mentioned was our junior college transfer.

Number 19 is Kamar Jordan- he is the JC wide receiver we added from Hudson Valley Community College. Philadelphia native. He looked smooth out there tonight in his route running and his hands. Excellent frame- 6' 3". It would appear he can provide some help.

Young Joplin got a few reps and had a nice TD catch at the end of the scrimmage. Freddie Barnes, Ray Hutson and Adrian Hodges all made plays. Decent performance by all with only a couple drops by my count.

Good to see our newly committed QB for 2010 watching the game. Trent Hurley is a big framed young man.

Go Falcons!

The thing that came to mind first for me was how crisp this scrimmage was. Yeah there were mistakes and missed plays but the effort was very solid. Guys were going hard and for nearly 3 hours.

#19 Kamar Jordan looked very good...I thought the O looked pretty solid and the D struggled at times. But Andrew Johnson was impressive getting in the backfield quite a bit. Geter looked F A S T and there didn't seem to be any concerns with the kicking game. As far as X points, everything looked good. I believe someone said Freddie Barnes was holding on kicks since Derek Brighton went down with the ankle injury. :( I forgot to look each time they lined up. Cody Basler has emerged as the leader on D...dude is cut and looks like he lost about 10 lbs.

GREAT seeing John Haneline and Erique BullDozier there...had a cool talk with them. Both thought the new staff was excellent and will be good for the program.

The Freaklings and I had a good time hanging with everyone. It was Falcon Football and it was good. :D

Less than 18 days until the real thing starts...>GO FALCONS!!!!!

FACTMAN:

You should probably check the student, staff, faculty passes.... my guess is they are brown, tan, orange ect.... your blue pass is probably to ensure that a student doesnt park in your spot....
