Apparently there is a graphic of Coach Perry that has just been installed on the West side elevator shaft. There's a small image of what the graphic looks like, but I was wondering if anybody had seen it on the stadium in person? Maybe even happened to snap a picture of it? Sounds pretty cool.

Saw that on the official site. The Freaklings and I were at the scrimmage Sat but I didn't think to look up cuz I didn't know. AWESOME NEWS! Doyt Perry was thee greatest....period.

I'm surprised that this hasn't been done sooner. Even before they decided on the players graphics on the other side, they should've done one of the Man that the stadium is named after. But...later is definitely better than never. Unless someone beats me to it, I'll try to get a picture of it and post it by tomorrow evening.

I love the idea of a statue. Put one right in the center of the east side entrance, kind of between the ticket booths and the entrance. The athletic dept and the school of art need to get together.

Why not put the statue on the 50???

However, that is a result of the "Whippeling" of BGSU! We must conform to what is popular in the world of student affairs and all that is unique to BGSU must be eliminated. Our mascot costumes had to be cartoonish like other schools. Athletics itself had to be placed under student affairs like other schools. We HAD to have a starbucks in the Union like many other schools instead of working with local vendors. Our athletic venues had to have "cute" little nicknames like other schools. We do not play football in "The Shoe" or "The Big House"! We play football in Doyt L. Perry Stadium, not "The Doyt"! I really don't give a damn if using the correct name isn't "popular" in our culture right now, it's the right thing to do. This stupidity started with the traitor coach (Meyer for those who don't know) and to me it ranks up there with the chants of "Urban Meyer" as completely inappropriate. It's really not that hard, and doesn't take that much more time to say "Doyt Perry Stadium" and not "The Doyt'! I know many of you will say who cares, it's just a name. It's more than that, it's a matter of respect! Just because it doesn't exist in many other places around the world is no excuse for it to cease to exist at BGSU.

Someone needs to check their corn flakes before taking a bite in the morning.
