My shoulders just dropped about 6 inches in relaxation at this realisation. Somebody please remind me why the football season does not last 52 weeks. The Falcons will kick off the season in just over a week against Troy University on Sept. 3 at Doyt Perry Stadium.
Same reason you're supposed to consult a physician after a 4 hour erection. Some good things must come to an end...Zom wrote:My shoulders just dropped about 6 inches in relaxation at this realisation. I think you mean the opposite. Pankratz sat out last season as a reshirt and has 4 years of eligibility remaining. Schilz is a true freshman this year, could redshirt this season and still have 4 more years after that..VDub26Falcon wrote:In talking about the backup QB battle, if there isn't much difference between the two players, wouldn't it be smart to just let Pankratz keep his redshirt for the season and have Schilz take the backup spot? Just a thought.
Typically I would be inclined to agree with you, but this is a unique situation in which we have 2 guys with 4 years of eligibility remaining, and a senior starter. If I were the coach I would name whichever one of them I thought had the most chance of being the starter next year the backup, regardless of eligibility concerns. If you can get him in a few games this year that experience could prove very valuable next year.Warthog wrote:I think you mean the opposite.
