I wish that quotes from players always started with "Like Coach says..." This team sounds like no other team I have been around. This is a team yearning for a title, for a chance to prove everyone wrong. Two. Freaking. Days!!!

"I just want to do a great job for Bowling Green and get to the MAC championship game as often as we can and win them," said Clawson, who served as the University of Tennessee offensive coordinator last fall. "I really believe Bowling Green, with our facilities, with our tradition, with our history, with the support we get and where we're located we should be one of the premiere teams in this league.
"We want that to happen as soon as possible."
"You adopt them because the second you become the head coach they become your players," Clawson said. "If you wait for a three or four-year cycle where they become all your recruits, that's too long.
"So, I took the job and the first meeting I had with the team I said, 'I didn't recruit you and you didn't choose Bowling Green to play for me, but the only way that this works is I'm going to treat you guys as if I recruited you and you need to treat me and our staff as if these were the coaches you came to play for. And if you do that, this will work.''
LOVE HEARING THAT....Get 'er done, fellas! GO FALCONS!!!
Can we just cancel the rest of today and tomorrow and get to Thursday??

As long as I can still collect the money I would have earned for working during the canceled time.

8 starters back on offense from a team that ran up a ton of points last year and "inexperience" is in the title of this article? I don't get it. You're darn right expectations are high. We should roll on offense this year w/the players we have back.

We were 60th in offensive yardage last year, and 44th in points scored. We lost our best RB and best WR.
We were decent to above average on O last year, and I expect about the same this year. We did not run up a ton of points by any standard.

And as I pointed out in another thread we return 8 starters, but we lost a large percentage of our TD production from a year ago. Parks, Turner, and Partridge accounted for more than 1/3 of our overall offensive TDs last year. Yeah, we return 8 starters, but we still lost a lot of skill talent.
