Not bad for a former walk-on ... Roger Williams is 8 yards from becoming the school's top all time kick returner! Just imagine how cool that will be on his first kick return Thursday (assuming he goes over 8 yards) hearing the announcement over the PA. The kid is ridiculously fast and I'm looking for him to have a B!G season as a kick returner and paste his name in the record book for good.
TWO FREAKIN' DAYS!!

Ahhhh yessss...I can hear it now...
"With that last return, Robert Wilson has become the all-time kick return yardage leader in NCAA history!"

*sigh*
After missing too many games last year, I think RW is on a serious mission this year.
51 hours to go!

RWT,
Who's Robert "Wilson"? Some new guy we haven't heard of before?

Yeah, unless they replaced the bumbling wonder that is our PA Announcer, this could definitely happen.

Unless it was only temporary (I have no idea), didn't they replace him towards the end of last season?

He broke some fingers or something and was completely ineffective after that, so Kenny Lewis and Ty Pronty took over. The break happened against Minnesota when he fumbled the opening kick return of the second half. I'm not sure if Williams ever came back from the injury or not ...

LMAO...sorry, I was continuing with the threadjack and discussing the announcer. Didn't we have a different PA guy for the final game or two last season? Not sure if that was temporary, or if they permanently replaced the guy that did it for the past few years. Hopefully it was permanent, because that guy was terrible.

I think he meant the announcer, not Roger.

Gotcha ... my bad

Yeah that announcer was "special" ... I'd hate to hear how he'd announce Warren Ruggierro's name ...

God help me I was trying to figure out how broken fingers affect your ability to pronounce names. And then why BG decided to use players in the announcer role, although they'd almost have to be better than the guy who was there last time I went to BG.

Simple:
Maybe he was a mute and had to sign the players names to the announcer who actually had a voice. Hence, the broken fingers led to mispronunciation by the speaking announcer.

Somehow, I'm not shocked that this was a response. Nice rationalization.
