Mizzou TV Information

Hey all, was doing some research about the Missouri game and how it's working for this FSN PPV thing. I spoke to a DirecTV person today and apparently the game is going to be shown on FSN Midwest's PPV channel, however the person I talked said they weren't sure if it will be offered to any cable companies outside of the Missouri area.
The game will be shown on channel 787 on DirecTV and channel 465 on Dish, both available nationally. I emailed FSN Midwest to see if anyone in Ohio has offered to pick up the game.

I would really like to see this game on tv but I don't want shell out $30 bucks to do it. I hope an option that's better than that ppv materializes this week.

If you're in BG it probably wouldn't hurt to ask Downtown or another sports bar if they're going to purchase the game, and yeah $30 for a football game is pretty steep.

If you have the SportsPack for DirectTV you can get many games on the local sports network. I don't know how this game will work, but its how I was able to watch BG vs. NIU last year.

Any updates on viewing options? Heck, I'll drive down to BG and watch it at a bar, if needed...

BOWLING GREEN-MISSOURI FOOTBALL PAY-PER-VIEW INFORMATION
(Updated Tuesday, Sept. 8) Mizzou's 2009 football home opener vs. Bowling Green on Saturday, Sept. 12 will be televised on pay-per-view on participating cable, satellite and fiber-optic providers. Kickoff for the contest is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT from Faurot Field.
Information about how to purchase the telecast, including a current list of participating cable, satellite and fiber-optic providers, is attached. Providers will be added throughout the week, and updates will be posted on MUTigers.com as they become available.
Suggested retail price for residential purchase is $29.95. Participating cable, satellite and fiber-optic providers will offer the telecast to their customers on a specially designated pay-per-view channel. The telecast will not preempt FSN's regularly scheduled programming.
The game is being televised on pay-per-view because it was not selected for over-the-air broadcast or cable television coverage. This gives fans the option to watch a game they otherwise wouldn't be able to see on television. Next week's Mizzou game vs. Furman will also be available on a pay-per-view basis. FSN's pay-per-view division will produce and distribute the telecasts.
For the Bowling Green game Dan McLaughlin will call the play-by-play alongside former Mizzou star and current FSN Big 12 studio analyst Corby Jones. Todd Donoho will serve as sideline reporter.
To date, the following video providers are expected to offer the Bowling Green-Missouri pay-per-view telecast. For availability in their specific areas, customers should contact their cable, satellite or fiber-optic provider. Updated information will be posted throughout the week on MUTigers.com.

Has anyone checked any local drinking establishments to see if they are going to have the game? How about PPV on local Time Warner?

I doubt to many places are going to pay for a 6 o'clock kick with the USC game starting at 8. My hope for Saturday is that USC wins by 3 TDs going away and we can pull off the upset in Columbia, that should pop a few scarlet balloons around town.

I'm gonna bring my portable radio w/ headphones while I watch the OSU/USC game, From what I gather no one is going to show the BG game in town for the reasons mentioned above.

Wow, this is bad timing. BG-Misery game at 6 with the USC-OSU game starting a mere 2hrs later. Great. I'd be shocked if a sports bar anywhere around BG would want to buy the game. I wish I had a few friends that would be willing to split the cost of buying it. My friend in findlay has direct tv and it seems he'd be able to get it but his close hs buddy is OSU fan and they will not want to miss one nano second of USC-OSU action.

Reverand's and Downtown will both be showing the game on Saturday. I will be at Reverand's with my usual crowd. Expect us to be rowdy if you meet us there.
Reverand's has PHENOMENAL burgers and their draught selection isn't to be trifled with. Bud Ight on one of their twelve, the rest are all micro-brews. I believe they will even have something from Maumee Bay BC this weekend on one of them.
Hope to see some of you there!

This is probably a really stupid question given the OSU/USC game, but does anyone know of a place in Columbus showing the game?

Eddie George's MIGHT have it. They usually show a wide range of college games. But it's USC/OSU week, so I'm certain all 30 tvs will be on the osu game. Other than that, I doubt there will be a showing. If anyone finds something in Columbus, please post it here!
