What is the significance of the W flag outside of The Doyt? I was passing through today en route to Columbus.

We beat Troy last week...I guess it stays up until we lose a game.

I assumed it signified a win from the previous week.

They put it up right after the Troy game. (See Grant's video around here somewhere.) I would assume it stays up until the next game kicks off. I thought it looked pretty cool, especially if people are noticing it from outside the stadium and asking about it.

Hell.....I went by last Friday and thought Wisconsin was in town!!!

That is rather stupid in my opinion.......are we going to put up an "L" if we lose?
Wonder what budget that frivilous spending came from? I know of some teams that could use that money in their budget!!!

The idea is from the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs fly a W or a L flag on top of the scoreboard so fans that are riding the el train past Wrigley can see if the Cubs won or lost that day's game. As a Cubs fan, I know the W flag is a novelty item, a lot of fans have bought the flag. They bring it to games, display it on their cars or fly it at home. I know I have the flag and a couple of other friends that are Cub fans have it as well. I'm not sure how big it will be in Bowling Green, but it already has people talking.

The "new" covering for the back of the scoreboard is flying loose like a flag now , after a little wind the past few days. When is this administration going to learn that it is windy in BG and you can't use half a$$ed solutions to problems. Between this covering, the old batters eye at Steller Field and numerous others worth many thousands of $$$$$, I would think that they would learn their lesson!  :butthead:

I think ProMedica paid for most if not all of it. But lets not get caught up in details

I talked to one of the catchers this weekend and he said they were getting a new eye and new dugouts and other things. He told me he was Justis Jones' roommate and was hoping JJ would get in. He did and did well! :smt038

Factman, maybe you could set up regular meetings with Greg Christopher, where you can share all of your incredible knowledge. Clearly, you know infinitely more about being an AD than he does! 8-) :o   :| :butthead: :axe: :drinkers: :tonqe: :snakeman:
