Not sure if it is just me or not, but I have noticed while watching the first two weeks of college football that there seems to be an inordinate amount of players loosing their helmets. It seems like I see 3 or 4 in every game I watch.

Any ideas as to why?

Chin strap is not tight enough, or not snapped on all the way. You'll see some players with only 2 of the 4 straps snapped.

I believe what you saw where Ohio State players throwing their helmets after USC secured the win.
