As nice as the press box was, I'm loving being able to root for the Falcons now. Too bad I have to do so from Illinois.

Regretable if true. If you smoke that s**t while your at school I can offer this advice from experience. It will be one of only a few things you will "remember and regret" for the rest of your life.threestooges wrote:Wonder what thE Effect on the team will be? Damn.
It will not help the team, but someone is going to get an opportunity to step up.

Re: Mahone suspended
Wonderful.
What is with some of these BG players who decide to do crap in their senior year? This is like the 3rd or 4th player that has done something stupid in the last year of eligibility. Unbelievable. Well, time to step up Keith Morgan.

Good for Coach Clawson. Unfortunately I hope he makes an example of PJ.

Re: Mahone suspended
If it does end up being this then wouldn't he have to remove him from the team like he did with Michael Ream just to keep things the same for everyone??? Makes me wonder if this could be something other than wacky weed.FortWayneFalcon wrote:Regretable if true. If you smoke that s**t while your at school I can offer this advice from experience. Well, whatever P.J. did is not our business and I'm sure its being taken care of. What I do know is that Keith Morgan is a good hard worker. I got to know him last spring and have nothing but positive things to say about him and his play against Troy and Mizzou seems to speak highly of him too. I'm sure he'll be ready for a good solid Falcon career as a starter at safety.

Yeah, I don't think it makes a whole lot of sense to speculate...

Re: Mahone suspended
If it is because he failed a drug test, then he may not be kicked off the team like Ream. My understanding was that Ream had failed multiple drug tests throughout his playing career here and his last one was under Clawson who decided enough was enough. Either way, whatever it was that PJ did, I have faith that Clawson will discipline him appropriately.
Re: Mahone suspended
Come on PJ!!! Damn!!! Not that you ever want to see this kind of thing with your team, but what's even more disappointing to me is when it's happening to seniors...the guys who are supposed to be your leaders. Well, hopefully he'll be back for the MAC portion of the schedule or something....

Re: Mahone suspended
Sucks to hear, but I'm glad that Clawson is sticking to his guns about his discipline policy. Anytime a player puts himself before his team or his academics, he has no one to look at but himself. I hope this doesn't come back to bite P.J. for his future endeavors. Looking forward to seeing Keith Morgan get the start at safety, one man's slip up is another man's opportunity.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
Re: Mahone suspended
My biggest hope is that this doesn't effect the rest of the team. Anytime a starter stops playing for whatever reason it can change the chemistry for the team. I hope that the rest of guys realize how serious Clawson is about his policies. I think Morgan will do a great job and GO FALCONS BEAT THE HERD!!!

This is PJ's third offense. I do believe he's done. Needless to say the team is very disappointed but are confident there are guys who can and will step up.
