The Zips just said that starting QB Chris Jacquemain has been suspended. It certainly reshapes the division.

That sucks for their season. Not so bad for ours.

But really, I don't know much about the Zips team regs, so I couldn't speculate as to what he did, but I bet he wishes he hadn't done it now.

The problem is the coach laid down the ground rule "Don't do anything you wouldn't see on the streets surrounding our campus."

That REALLY didn't narrow it down much.

Otherwise known as the "Amstutz Rule."

Good point, BO. With Ottawa Hills and Old Orchard surrounding much of UT things are pretty sedate. Not like the mean streets of, say, BG what with the small town violence of home invasions, drugs, credit card theft, taking dumps in the dorm stairwells, yada,yada,yada- what happened to the short lived "no trash talk about bad behavior" BO. Did he turn into Vdub? ;-)

I was referring more to the surroundings of UT than the behavior of anyone associated with your...ahem...'university.' But, you can always be counted on to refer to the little 'list of Falcon indiscretions' that you apparently keep taped to your monitor.

You can't fool me. I've been to UT. I've driven around UT. I've seen things. I will say no more. :-D

That is by far one of the funniest threads I have ever read!

Unless you paid a 13 y.o. hooker for what you saw, you can say whatever you want.

BTW, is that investigation still ongoing?

Now that is just low class, Saxy.

I was simply trying to save h2o the pain and humiliation of the adjectives that ran through my head every time I drove around UT. I have never had any dealings with ACORN during any time I have spent in Toledo, or anywhere else for that matter. :-D

Oh, I got it. That's why you mentioned Amstutz.
While its true that the areas of Ottawa Hills where the median household income dips below 7 figures can be pretty sketchy I would suggest you'd have to look awfully hard to find much trouble elsewhere. All the trouble I found was of my own making. Or maybe that's what you saw....

Perhaps it would be a good idea to lighten up a bit and recognize a joke? Smile! It's Saturday! :)

How did I get brought into this?
I'll be honest, I got a little nervous driving through the, we'll go with "less-nice" parts of Akron. I think this was mostly because I don't know the area at all and I'm sure there are "DON'T GO THERE!!!" parts of Akron and I didn't want to end up in one of them. I'm sure once I'm acclimated with the area, I'll be fine.

seems to me that maybe, just maybe coaches and schools are wising up and making good, proper use of the 2nd chance by making it rare and not a given, finally. MAybe time will tell, but this is a good sign.
