hello folks,
quick question. seems there's a trend this year with fans doing white-outs, black-outs, orange-outs, etc. all our home games this year have a color scheme... for examlpe, for our home game against oregon, we mixed it up:
fresno did a white-out last week, which looked pretty good, too.
are you doing a color scheme for this week's game? brown? orange? a mix?
looking forward to the game... at last the broncos make their long-awaited trip to the Doyt!

They're trying to do an Orange Out but our fans aren't exactly known for following directions. The students will at least be decked out in orange.

Some will even be in their Scarlet and Gray

How great would it be to have a crew in the stands with orange shirts to give to anyone seen wearing scarlet and gray?? We need to find a sponsor for something like that...

Grant, could we get something worked out with the hockey legends daughters to go through the stands with some "muscle" and "get" a donation for the hockey program out of any OSU gear wearing mope by "selling" them an orange t-shirt?
After all, who could resist these faces?

You know the only thing that sucks about where BG is located is you got Michigan and ohio state both close by so even tho we do get alot of fan support, most of our fan base is also either an ohio state fan or michigan fan. There really are not many people that are JUST a BGSU fan. How ever seeing that this game is against a great Boise State team who is ranked better than both ohio state and michigan and that its a designated Orange out, I think most the crowd will be in orange. Only problem is, how many of them will be wearing Cleveland Browns shirts?

Who cares? It's basically the same thing...Paul Brown liked BG's color scheme so much that he used it for his first NFL Franchise. True Story.

With any luck maybe the buckeyes will lose Saturday and every buckeye fan will burn their attire.

I didn't seen too much scarlet and grey at the Minnesota game last year. It seems like the BG fan base is good for suiting up in Orange & Brown for these really big games. But don't count on them to keep the OSU jersey in the closet for a regular game.

Good stuff. Didn't know that. Very interesting.
Boise State has a similar connection (or, is it a disconnection?) with the Denver Broncos. Boise Junior College began play in 1933, choosing the colors blue and orange because no other school in the region used that color scheme.
The Denver Broncos didn't start their franchise until the early 1960s--and even used the color brown in their original colors. It wasn't until they were part of the AFL that they changed to blue and orange.
We get accused frequently for copying the Denver Broncos.

Little more knowledge to drop...
The Cleveland Browns used to use Bowling Green as their Training Camp site until they moved around a bit and ended up in Berea.
