The Boise State game is over….thankfully! But I feel this next game against Ohio is our season. Yeah, one can make that statement about every week for one reason or another, but this team is teetering on the verge of collapse, or getting things turned around in a hurry. The Troy win was a great way to start the season off, no doubt. However, since then, BG has suffered two very difficult losses by one score to both Missouri and Marshall before just being throttled by Boise State. BG is 1-3 and it’s our worst start in a decade since opening 0-4 in 2000 when we finished 2-9.
We have got to come out here next week and get a win! The Ohio game will mark exactly one month since our last win (Troy), it’s our MAC opener, it’s Homecoming, and we do not want to sink into a four-game losing streak and open the conference season with a loss as well. Ohio gave Tennessee a tough game today, has won two of its last three and beat us here at home the last time they played in BG (2007). IMO, I think next Saturday we’re really going to see what we’re really made out of. Next week we’re going to find out what our players and coaches are all about. If we win, we’re 1-0 in the MAC and I think we can really get things rolling. But if we lose, I think we’re in for a very long, long season.
The non-conference is behind us, whether we went 1-3 or 3-1, we’re 0-0 in the MAC, and our “real” season begins now! Let’s get this season turned around and get back to BG football! GO BG!!!

Agreed, it's imperative to come out strong next week. OU has a pretty good team this year, evidenced by the good game they gave Tennesee tonight. Hopefully tonight's game is out of their heads and they can focus on winning the East.

I was at the OU/TN game. And while it was close, trust me, most of that lays on mistakes made by Tennessee, especially their QB, Jonathan Crompton, it wouldn't have seemed so close. Not saying that OU is a bad team, but just that if one were to only look at the score, it makes OU look better than they probably are.

This is where the rest of the season, our "real" season, begins. Saturday we find out what we have the rest of the way....I'm very curious to see what our players and coaches so us next weekend. And I hope like heck we see that "W" flag flying after the game too....it will have been folded up somewhere for the past month!

"We're Undefeated in MAC play" was definitely the chant going after the game. Unless you honestly thought that BG would play for a National Championship this year, there is no reason to hang our heads after a very tough OOC schedule. The Bobkittens are coming to town and it's time to focus on the Conference Schedule. GO FALCONS!!! BEAT OHIO!!!
