Doesn't indicate a "visit", but I wonder if he was one of the many recruits on the sidelines Sat. There were quite a few big kids there. Too bad we couldn't have given a better showing on the field...But I'd think the crowd would've helped to make an impression.

I like him because he is 6'2 250. Good size for a DE.

Re: New Verbal
It appears we are recruiting the type of players that this team needs in order to run a more balanced offense, which is a good thing, and a more stout defense, which is also a good thing. This is one aspect I like from Clawson. He seems to have a knack for recruiting.
ROLL ALONG!!!
Re: New Verbal
I heard from a VERY reliable source tonight at the radio show that he was about 270#!!!!!!

Guess he'll be moving to the offensive line then.factman wrote:I heard from a VERY reliable source tonight at the radio show that he was about 270#!!!!!!

Nope........the same "very reliable source" said it was a PRIORITY to increase the size of our D line. Very refreshing!
The same source also mentioned that if players didn't attend class, their parents get a bill for their tickets, and he has told the parents this. Nice idea!

Re: New Verbal
Gilbert was at the Boise game and he is a big framed young man. Another very, very good SW Ohio player. We are really moving in that area of the state. Previously, we have done fairly well, but it appears we have some real good communicators working down there from this coaching staff.
The Boise game had several of the committed players back in. Sharp eyed observers saw QB commit Hearley speaking with WR commits Jackson and Breaum on the sideline. The QB also spoke with the big OL commits who were hard to miss. Clay Rolf is very, very big as is Isiah Byler.
Though we didn't play well in spots and we were defeated by a much better team- ranked fifth in the country- I would think HS visitors really enjoyed seeing that BG atmosphere. I would also think the chance to play against great teams- upcoming games against UM, OSU, Virginia Tech and home games with Maryland and Indiana- really means something to some of these guys.
Go Falcons!

Penalizes parents for the failings of their (mostly) adult children? I would be in huge trouble.

Doesn't mean the parents have to pay it, they can put it back on their child. My parents didn't pay for my college.h2oville rocket wrote:factman wrote:Nope........the same "very reliable source" said it was a PRIORITY to increase the size of our D line. Very refreshing!![]()

I think factman was talking about the players comp tickets for their families. If a player doesn't go to class, Mom and Dad have to pony up some $$$ to get into the game. I've met factman's "very reliable source". This guy might actually know somethingduckunder53 wrote:Doesn't mean the parents have to pay it, they can put it back on their child.
