Sing it loud, sing it strong: After the Cardinal's wins, the players have been heard in their locker room singing "Ay Ziggy Zoomba," a song that, Harbaugh explained, was taught to him as a kid by his father, Jack, a longtime college coach. The elder Harbaugh learned it at his alma mater, Bowling Green, where fans have sung it for years.
Jim Harbaugh taught it to his players this year in camp, and his dad led the team in singing it after their two home wins.
At a reporter's request, the Stanford coach sang it (with gusto) at his weekly media conference Tuesday. The Stanford version goes like this: "Ay Ziggy Zoomba Zoomba Zoomba/Ay Ziggy Zoomba Zoomba Ze/Ay Ziggy Zoomba Zoomba Zoomba/Ay Ziggy Zoomba Zoomba Ze/Roll along you Stanford warriors/ Roll along and fight for LSJU (Leland Stanford Junior University)!"
I don't know how I feel about that. On one hand, I feel violated. On the other, I've heard several stories about the Harbaughs keeping tabs on BGSU throughout the years, so it's kind of cool to see them recognizing a tradition.
I bet that special teams coach had something to with it.

If the Harbaugh's are affiliated with BG, maybe we can get some games set up with them. And what about New Mexico? Why aren't we getting some games with them?

I'm with TG on this one. I don't know how I feel about this one.
And what may be worse, I don't know how I feel about being with TG on anything.

Nice. Walk toward the light!!!
The few warm and fuzzies I had about this took a severe blow this evening. While I was mowing the lawn, it dawned on me that if Jack Harbaugh's OTHER son tried the same thing, I'd probably have to punch someone.

Reminds me of this.
And I had the same reaction when I first saw that as I did when reading this. Somehow it's kind of flattering that somebody thinks so highly of Ay Ziggy Zoomba that they want to adapt it, but at the same time, I feel like it's something that should stay firmly at BG. It sounds kinda b*st*rdized with other schools' names in it.
In my mind, some traditions are overall collegiate traditions that are ok at nearly any school. Sweet Caroline, Hey Baby, throwing co-ed's into the air the number of times equal to the amount of points the home team has, things of that nature. But other things, like Ay Ziggy Zoomba, Rocky Top, Troy's "Burn the Horse," or Script Ohio (I don't like it, but it should remain tOSU's), among others, should remain solidly the traditions of one school.

Im with you YDfalcon,
I believe that this is wrong to do, Its one of our fight songs. Part of our tradition is being taken to use at other schools and that would be like taking OSU or UM's traditions and applying them to ours.
