Coach said is his presser that WR Ray Hutson is battling rib and knee injuries and he might be joining WR’s Tyrone Pronty, Derek Brighton and Calvin Wiley (and TE DeMark Jenkins) on the sidelines for the rest of the season. He wasn’t sure yet. He also stated that DL Winston Etheridge has an illness and is likely done for his career at BG after playing in the first two games this year. He mentioned that Eric Jordan is out for the year with a knee injury that happened before the season started.

Etheridge is just a frosh, what kind of illness could he have?

This is what happened last year with Turner and Barnes going down for a couple of games. Tough non conference games against the "big boys" take their toll.

Could be a heart condition or something like that that he didn't know about until getting here. Just giving an example, I don't know any facts.

He didn't say, but it sounds like his career is over.

Wow, these kinds of things are terrible for the athletes and the program. I'm praying for Etheridge, that's gotta be a tough thing to go through.

Brandon signed a big DT named Lance Latkiwicz a few years ago who never played a down here because they found a heart condition that was serious enough to keep him off the field. And then we had that walk on with undiagnosed sickle cell anemia that died right after practice.

Aaron Richardson from Perkins was the name of the player who died.

Thank you...Aaron deserved more respect from me than to be referred to simply as "that walk on"...apologies to anyone who knew Aaron and may have read that...

That was very tragic what happened to Aaron Richardson. :(
