ESPN Top Play

Post by Zig »

Sheehan's run into the endzone with :05 left was... #10 on Sportscenter top plays.

...Though I kinda wish they would have highlighted the stats. Sheehan had 500+ yards passing, Barnes had 278 yards and 22 receptions, and he's still leading the nation in receptions.

meh
Still kinda nice to see us on Sportscenter for once.

I mentioned this in another thread, but we got props on College Football Final too, as Freddie Barnes got a helmet sticker from Rece Davis.

I'm not big on moral victories. Yet this team is showing signs of real grit out there. Unlike last year's losses, these guys clearly are digging deep. That could do well for them later this year and next year.

You do realize they won this week, right?

Yes, in thrilling fashion. I'm speaking to the entire season thus far.

They could have folded against Troy and Kent, and would have last year. Even in losing, they are showing a stronger focus. It is a good thing.

I saw that and it was awesome. I guess the school also gets an autographed t-shirt "suitable for framing" FWIW.

Ah. I can agree there.

Although last year, I thought they showed great resiliency when they were tied with Toledo for about two minutes early in the first quarter. :-D

Indeed, being seen as living down to Toledo can take the life out of you. Still, they pushed through it!

Last year's team fell behind 10-0 to Pitt and came back to win...I'm not saying they weren't ultimately a very disappointing team, but that one instance was more impressive than coming back at home against Troy State...
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

I hope this helps.

The game was televised so maybe someone has the entire game.

I realized after my previous post that you were probably looking for the Kent State game and not the Pittsburgh game. I have not found any from the Kent State game.

This brings up last year's Pitt game.
