How good our passing offense really is

Post by MarkL »

So according to ESPN ... we are dead last in the country in rushing yards/game at 65.7. However, we are fourth in the country in passing yards/game at 335.3, behind three teams you expect to be the top three year in year out (Houston, Texas Tech, Hawaii). I know this isn't what Clawson wanted, but he said when he was hired that the goal of the offense is to put the best playmakers on the field and get them the ball as much as possible. Also of note - Hawaii and Texas Tech are also in the bottom 10 in rushing ypg and Houston is not far behind at 86th.

Its disappointing that were 4th in the nation for passing but yet were still only 2-4 on the season. After last week tho I think BG will pull it together and will finish with a winning record this year. BG has some great talent this year and I think we are the best 2-4 team in the nation lol. If our defense can step up the rest of the season and if our offense can convert and take advantage of our possessions then we should have no problem having a successful season. A MAC championship is still in our grasp. If ohio falls and if we can win out then we still have a chance to go to the game. If Barnes plays like he did against Kent for the rest of the season then theres no reason we couldnt win out the rest of our games.

You know, as long as Temple loses, too. Yet another farce of having that school in the league.

Temple's gonna lose one at some point. They're not that good. Two of their MAC wins so far were against Ball State and EMU. Buffalo was a quality win though.

Im not really concerned about temple at this point however they could make a good run themselves, but ohio is on a good run right now and they need to be beat plain and simple for us to even have a shot. If we lose then i think are shot is gone.
