You heard it here first - there is a press conference today @ 3 to announce the bowl for BGSU!

What's your guess? This is the moment all of you cyperchatters (including myself) have been waiting for!

GO FALCONS!

No special knowledge, but I'll be shocked if it isn't the GMAC. Traditionally, they announce first.

This will be a long 90 minutes, that's for sure.

* sigh * guess I'll have to kill the time by doing some work.

An Arkansas State fan who seems credible is asserting that the MAC will also play in the Independence Bowl. Virginia passed, or something.

I hate waiting ... I thought knowing the time of the press conference would help, but I think my head's going to explode!

Maybe BGSU33 can give us more info on UVA. . .

. . .as far as our announcement. .. I sure hope it is somewhere with affordable flights as I have heard BGSU WILL NOT BE OFFERING A CHARTER FLIGHT to the bowl game. That is unfortunate and may leave people behind who cannot afford commercial flight to our destination.

How am I supposed to write a paper with this distraction? ? ?

Schade:

I like the dates better for Shreveport, but the flights are way too pricey. There's no major airport within driving distance ... unless you consider 190 miles driving distance!

I'll take any bowl, but BG will have to do the Independence without us ...

15 driving hours from Columbus to Shreveport. ouch

13 hours to Mobile.

I would rather go after Christmas & drive 2 extra hours.

Hmmmm... could fly to Little Rock and drive 3 hours ... :?

Just make your plans for Mobile!!!

Is it going to be broadcast anywhere? when/where will the news surface first?????

Well, if the factman says it , you can pretty well assume it's true.

I'm very suprised since the hot rumor in the aftermath of the debacle in T-town was that the NIU Huskies had the GMAC wrapped up.

There's no way I can swing a trip to Mobile prior to Christmas (way to much year end work that needs to be put to bed before the holidays) but I'll be watching on TV.

Unless, of course, the game conflicts with the men's hoops game against Bluffton or Urbana or whomever...

The conference is in the Alumni Center if anyone wants to go...I might already know that it's a bowl that's been mentioned a lot in this thread but I can't really say
