Why is our 2nd half always our worse half? Our running defense needs some work! Come on BG! Hold on!

It was a nice win.... got a little nervous with the sub par effort in the second half but nice to come out with a win.... On the other hand if we dont fix our problems stopping the run, CMU will score 50 on us. The holes were huge... Oh!What could have been if PJ and Ream would have not messed up... but it is what it is... someone else is going have to step up.

My first trip to Muncie.
BSU has nothing on Doyt Perry Field, except concessions IMO.
Cold.
Win.

Really? I thought it's a pretty nice stadium, especially with what they've done to it in the last few years. I do love the Doyt though.
The defense played one helluva first half. The second half was more on par with the rest of their season, unfortunately, but we were able to get a few stops in the fourth and run some clock off on offense, even if we didn't score.
The FMB sounded great, too!

I spent the second half in the "student section" (not many students, of course) with my neighbors, and I didn't care to much for the open aluminum bleachers. I can see it being pretty loud though with a big crowd stomping thier feet.
I was happily surprised to see our whole band at the game and on the field at half time. Is it typical for the visiting team's band to perform at half time??
I had some fun singing Ay-Ziggy Zoomba in BSU's student section. Thank you FMB!
Go Falcons! Beat the Chips! You can dooo it!

Yeah I was expecting Schuemann stadium to be alot bigger. It looked to me like a big high school stadium but only because of the aluminum bleachers. The press box was really nice along with both the endzones. The doyt seems sooo much bigger than that. The falcons started off great today. Did you see that Bullock only got one touch today and took it for a TD for our only score in the second half!! Im just glad we got a win today. We have a winning record in the MAC now.
Go Falcons!!!

There are two things I like more about BSU's stadium over BG's. One, the new press tower. I think Toledo, Ohio, Ball State, Central Michigan and now Akron have the nicest ones in the MAC by far. Ball State just completed its new one recently. Two, the "open" endzone with the hill and columns. I think it's up there with what Ohio (hill and larger videoboard), Miami (very nice videoboad tower with brick columns) and even Kent State (video board, concourse area) have done with their open endzones. Otherwise, I like ours better overall, but I would love to see BG do something in both of those areas in the near future.

I'm not 100%, but when we were winning 31-7 in the fourth Q, I don't think we were exactly playing our first team or playing exactly at the intensity of our first quarter.

Toledo would have a nice stadium if it wasn't infested with Toledo fans.
We did just win a MAC road game 31-17, right?

If the entire band goes on an away game, then it is customary to play halftime. However, most college bands will only play one away game a year (plus any post season play). There is a lot of communication between both band programs during the planning stages, and if the home team has something going on that places time constraints on halftime (homecoming is an example that jumps to mind) that will normally deter a band from going to that particular away game, or at least downgrade to a pep band only. Obviously a pep band will not march half time.

They rotated a lot of backups in the second half, mainly in the front seven. The secondary was intact almost the entire game. It seemed like there were a lot of young faces in the linebackers today.

I was at work following the gamecast on ESPN....good, solid road win for BG! I think the Kent miracle may have jump started BG cuz they played a hell of a first half. WAY TO GO FALCONS!!!!!
Time to dip the Chips!!!!

LowryFalcon...yes we all did see that Bullock only got one touch and took it to the house. It was also the only time he saw the field on any offensive play. Why? Who knows. Just like why is Pettigrew not red-shirting? Or where is Steven Dunlap that ran all over the place in the spring game and the scrimmages in August? Jason Rice???? Anyone?? Please, someone give us answers. It's like some one has a gun to Clawson's head to run Geter into the line as many times as possible...and on a side note --Geter --please fall foward when you get tackled!

I'll give you a pass on everything else that you said, but I have to call shenanigans on this statement. Willie Geter may not be the biggest back in the world, but I have seen him move piles this year that he had no responsibility moving. I would in part agree that Willie has not been utilized to the peak of efficiency, but that man is a beast. I know you are frustrated about Bullock's lack of playing time, but that is no excuse for employing such a back-handed insult against a guy like Geter.

I love Geter. I just don't like the way that we are using him. He receives the ball well and is very elusive. I just don't think he is a feature back and should get all of the carries each game. There should be packages for him to utilize his skills and should be other running backs involved in our offense to utilize their skills. Something has to change...we are averaging 2.4 yards per carry!
