Memphis is a very solid opponent

We'd better come ready to play. I've watched Memphis play Louisville and USF this season on TV. Memphis' TB DeAngelo Williams is one of the top RBs in the country. If we thought stopping NIU's Wolfe was tough, Williams can probably run circles around Wolfe......we better just fill holes and tackle, that's all I've gotta say. Memphis also has a very fine offense. They chalk up a lot of years and a lot of points. QB Danny Wimprine is a senior and a very poised player. This game is probably going to come down to whoever's defense can rise to the occasion and slow down the other team. I expect a lot of offence in this one.

It will be a tough game, no question. They pushed UL to its limit earlier this year, and have looked pretty good during most of their games that I did see. At least we have some time to prepare, and get some guys healthy going into the game.

Do you get to travel the entire team for bowls or is it restricted to the travel roster?

Ohhhhh, how the server is groaning under the pressure.

There are seniors everywhere on that team. We can run and pass on them, but I have no idea how we're going to stop their run game.

This is a game I think both teams feel they can win. Yes, it should be a good one.

I don't think we are playing a team that will give us fits defensively. They have given up a ton of points to teams that also run a similar scheme. Memphis on the other hand, runs a more balanced approach that is very effective. Coach Tommy West is a veteran and has a solid staff in big game situations.

Any commentator from ESPN that handles the game should come prepared with every conceivable single game NCAA rushing record b/c DeAngelo Williams is THAT good and our run defense as we all know is THAT bad.

Brandon and staff will definitely have to bring their "A" game and have the guys ready to play or Toledo and NIU will look like a walk in the park.

I expect a great high-scoring game with great players on both sides of the ball.

Congratulations to the seniors for their great careers and back-to-back bowl games!

If so, give me the under.

If Memphis is that good on the ground, I see them trying to grind it out and kill a ton of clock.

That may work, too.

Our front seven better be ready.

Our coach, during his weekly coach's show last night, said you can only take the travel squad to a bowl game. I believe that's 70 players.

Memphis will be a tough opponent. I've seen them play a couple games on TV and they are no slouch.

We best be ready to play. IF we make that 12 hour drive down and 12 hour drive back, it better be worth it!

Actually the Tigers are a no-huddle gun spread team not much different from BG and other teams in the MAC that use similar schemes.

"We best be ready to play. IF we make that 12 hour drive down and 12 hour drive back, it better be worth it! "

Please, be more positive ... that SHOULD read: "We will come ready to play. We ARE MAKING that 12 hour drive down and 12 hour drive back, and it WILL be worth it! "
