What the hell is going on..
Marshall is going to the Ft. Worth Bowl to play Cincinnati..
That could mean that NIU won't be bowling

Why is Cincinnati in a bowl? They lost to ARMY, by 20 points. That's ridiculous.

The only thing I can think of is that it's a preview of CUSA match-up for next season.
Still, both teams are 6-5.. and both NIU and Akron both deserve bowl games over Marshall

I'm sure NIU will be going somewhere. There are only 56 teams bowl eligible right now. Tulane must beat Louisville and Hawaii must beat Michigan State to also get in. If neither does, NIU will no matter what. I think Hawaii has a shot, but I don't see Tulane winning. Still, I think NIU gets in somewhere before Akron does. I guess we'll see.

NIU will get a bowl, it is Akron that gets screwed, unless Mich. State wins, which given how they let down everybody that cheers for them.......

Now, I hate Northern Illinois, but compared to Marshall and Toledo its sort of a loving hatred, if you can understand what I mean.

I say if Northern gets passed over for a bowl bid this year we begin an MAC-wide riot. I think they will get picked up, but if they don't...

Of course, we'll leave the Thundering Convicts out. Marshall was by far the least deserving of all MAC schools in terms of going to a bowl this year. They're only lucky that they are playing quite possibly the only bowl-eligible team worse than them this year (you could make a argument for North Texas being up there, too, but f*** Marshall).

I am so pissed I could tear the walls out of my house.

Oh, and the same goes for Akron. If Akron gets left out -- this is probably the only time in 20 more years they'll get this opportunity -- we go and burn down Huntington. I don't think the world would be missing much (not exactly gonna take out any future rocket scientists by doing so).

NIU will NOT be passed over.

Las Vegas or Shreveport are my best guesses. Maybe Boise.

Marshall went out and struck a deal on its own with the help of Conference USA. The MAC is pushing Northern Illinois.

I have no inside knowledge, but I would guess something will be announced very soon...

More like a preview of incoming and outgoing members. Cincinnati is headed towards the Big lEast next year.
