Ohio led 21-7 middle of the 2nd quarter, but now Da Bulls are getting it going. They just had a beautiful 8-yard drive capped by a 22-yard score on a fade route.

I am no math major, but I am struggling to see how that is possible. I am using negative integers and algebra. Hell I am about to break out may Calc book to solve this.bgsufalcon24 wrote:Ohio led 21-7 middle of the 2nd quarter, but now Da Bulls are getting it going. I think the 0 key got stuck. Oh well. And I got a C in Calc, so I won't be much help to ya solving that riddle.daspollak wrote:I am no math major, but I am struggling to see how that is possible. Ohio wins 27-24 thanks to an INT on Buffalo's final drive.
Edit: Actually, an 8-yard drive capped by a 22-yard play is theoretically possible if the offense takes over on the 8 and gets backed up by penalty yardage, then scores. Or would that be a 22-yard drive even though it started on the 8? Hmm...

UB's receivers can't catch when it counts. Two on the final drive last week against BG, and maybe three tonight on their final drive.

This would be simple- drives start at the point the offense receives the ball. Lost yardage does not change the length of the drive. Ball is fumbled on the eight. Offense takes over at that point. Next play is a 14 yard sack of the QB, followed by a 22-yard score on a fade route.
Re: Ohio at Buffalo
No doubt. I was hoping UB could have pulled it out, but their dropped passes and turnovers just killed them tonight. They had three dropped passes on that last drive with the third leading to an INT when it hit the WR right in chest. But then again, we had three dropped TOUCHDOWN passes ourselves when we played Ohio (including two by Barnes) so we can't be upset for UB not helping us out. I still think Ohio's gonna win this East as Temple still has to go to Athens.FormerFreddie wrote:UB's receivers can't catch when it counts. I'll put my money on the Owls right now...should be a heck of a game, though. Ohio is a good football team this year. Good game tonight.
