That's actually a really awesome and generous offer by a local eatery. I dog on Fricker's because I don't like their food. And we've all had crappy experiences trying to watch games there when they conflict with the OSU game. However, this is a nice gesture, and they've hosted the coaches' shows for years as well.
A mixed bag with them...too bad their food still sucks

Nice try, Fricker's, but I still won't give you any more of my business. Too little, too late.

Agreed. That's where I started going when Fricker's started sucking.

(Ir)Regardless of what anyone thinks of the food, this is a generous offer from a local business that has supported BG athletics for years. IMO, this isn't the place to bash their menu. Depending on who plays Monday Night Football that night, it could be a pretty handsome donation to the Falcon Club.
Obviously, the athletic department can't tell a company which games to show, but I hope a partnership like this could be used to influence their BG-on-TV policies in the future.

Agreed on both counts...I shouldn't have brought up how I feel about their food. This is a very generous offer from a local business.
And I also think that Frickers has supported the university in the past...they really should back that support up by willingly showing the BG games on TV when available.

It's okay. I shouldn't have stolen your "generous offer" line.
Personally, I have no real problem with their food. Not my favorite wing place, but it works. Though I usually end up at the one in Perrysburg when I'm home. There are too many other, better options to grab a bite in BG after a three hour drive.

It's understandable. You were probably so taken by my prose you couldn't hope to come up with an original thought that would compare

The owner of Frickers has donated a lot to Frickers through the years. When I first joined the Falcon Club and the FC tent was outside the stadium they supplied the wings. Remember we don't get every Kroger in the state to work for our benefit so we best keep on the good side of every local business. With a budget like BG's in times like these we best rave about the menu or be quiet.
The Chunks and the pork tenderloin sandwich are winners with me best served with Brew City fries (chili & cheese) and a brew.
Thanks Mr. Frick.

I was at Fricker's last night for wing night. I asked if they could put the BG/Xavier game on and they did!! Granted the game wasn't a lot of fun to watch, but at least they put it on when I asked!!!
I also agree....SUPPORT THE BUSINESSES that support BGSU!!! This should be a no-brainer for Falcon Fans when a specific fundraising event is set up!!!

Well Falcon Fanatic they must like you more cause when I went in there and asked them if they would, they said they weren't showing it. Thats the whole reason we left. I was more than happy to eat there but I knew if I went to BW's I would be able to watch the game for sure.

Yeah they turned the basketball game on for me too on a different tv and actually they've always been willing to turn on any BG things whenever I've been there. I must just have better luck or something. Plus since they started in Dayton, I tend to be loyal to my hometown wings.
