Coach Brandon to Utah???

So...I'm sure someone has mentioned this in another thread, but none of them are titled with anything saying this, so here goes!

Now that Urban is almost assuredly leaving Utah (we all know this to be true) will they want to bring in a coach with the ability to have the same offensive approach....Gregg Brandon?

It's a question that we have to ask, so what is going to realistically happen?

Please share your thoughts so that I have something to read after I go check on the goats!

I had read that Urbie's top assistant ( I forget his name and don't feel like looking it up) was a leaduing contender for the UNLV job. If Urbie does leave, the Utes may look his way to preserve some continuity in the program (as Krebs did with GB)

Actually, I am much more worried about the possibilty of losing some of our top assistants to Urbans new staff at ND or Florida if he goes.

I would not be surprised if Utah contacted Coach Brandon about the job if Coach Meyer does in fact leave. They would be stupid not to give him a call. My question is, don't you think Coach Brandon wants an identity of his own rather than just being the guy that follows Urban Meyer around? I would think Coach Brandon would want to look for a job that is not in Urban Meyer's footsteps so he can build his own program.

I would like to think that he realizes that 2005 could be a very, very special season in Bowling Green football and will stay in BG, but Utah, UNLV, BYU or whoever else will throw more money at him, so it won't shock me if he does leave.

Right, I think, like most people, he would like to identify himself with doubling his salary. I think Utah will stay in house, but Coach Brandon is an attractive candidate. Its only a matter of time--which I hope comes after 2005, but fear is near.

Hell, I'd follow whoever it takes to get the money that Utah can give him. I dont know how much love BG is giving him with our sparse crowds and whatnot. Urban had some "special things" coming in BG's future too, but it just doesn't matter because we're far from BCS game when Utah is already there.
