Roster look for next season

A bit early but interesting. I was unable to watch much this year so it is basically based off stats and the depth charts. I did not even try any real analysis because it would be out of my league this year. Take a look and add where you can and let me know what needs changed. Seems that we will have a pretty strong defensive front 4 and whomever plays QB will have some weapons but outside of that I don't know. We return 4 starters each on D and O.

QB
Should be a wide open race next year with as many as four potential candidates
• Aaron Pankrantz-So.(r) 6-6 221
o Only guy who has seen playing time. Been on the team for 2 years.
• Matt Schilz-Fr.(r) 6-2 185
• Caleb Watkins-Fr 6-3 194
• Trent Hurley-Fr 6-5 200
• Kellen Pagel-Fr.(r) 6-3 201
• Bart Tanski-Fr.(r) 6-1 201

RB
Geter will maintain his role as our scatback. Ideally we will have more to go with him but we had Bullock this year and he was not used a tremendous amount.
• *Willie Geter-Sr. 5-8 175
o Rushing 162-609-3.8-7, Receiving 37-342-9.2-1
• John Pettigrew-So. 5-10 183
o Rushing 7-24-3.4-0
• Jason Rice-So. 5-11 195
o I thought he was moved to LB but I see no stats there and on the roster he is still listed as a RB.
• Mark Mays-Fr(r) 5-10 170
• Erique Geiger-Fr(r) 5-9 203
• Steven Dunlap-Fr(r) 5-8 177

FB
Not sure how much we use this position but it is listed so here goes
• Zach Akenberger-Jr 5-8 195
o 195 Pound FB?
• Vince German-Fr(r) 6-2 243

WR
This should be the strength of the offense despite losing 2 of our top 5 wideouts.
• Ray Hutson-Jr 6-2 198
o 26-230-8.8-2
• *Adrian Hodges-Jr 6-1 191
o 45-410-9.1-2
• Justus Jones-So 6-2 198
o 13-143-11.0-1
• Derek Brighton-Sr 6-0 184
• Kamar Jorden-Fr(r) 6-3 189
• Austin Collier-Fr(r) 6-1 201
• Jordan Hopgood-Fr(r) 6-0 195
• Sean Joplin-Fr(r) 6-2 175
• Adam Crawford-Fr(r) 5-11 170
• Marcus Beaurem-Fr 5-10 170
• Kevonte Martin-Manley-Fr 6-0 198
• Heath Jackson-Fr 6-1 180
• Nick McKnight-Fr 6-1 196

TE
Losing Schiedler will be a big blow but we have talent here
• Nick Rieke-Sr 6-4 257
o 2-23-11.5-0
• Lewis Parks-Sr 6-2 234
o I thought he switched to D but he is still listed as a TE
• Alex Bayer-Fr(r) 6-4 228
• DeMark Jenkins-Fr(r) 6-3 221
• Sheldon Hall-Fr(r)

OL
If WR is not the best position the OL may be even though they have to replace 3 spots. 2 of our 4 returning starters on offense are here.
T
• Blaec Walker-So.(r) 6-5 300
• *Tyler Donahue-Sr.(r) 6-6 300
• Chip Robinson-So.(r) 6-6 327
G
• Scott Lewis-Jr. 6-2 294
• Tim German-So.(r) 6-5 300
C
• *Ben Bojicic-Jr. 6-4 294
• Marc Stevens-So.(r) 6-5 295
OL
• Preston Burrell-Jr.(r) 6-6 302
• Casey McHugh-Sr.(r) 6-6 287
• Ricky Retzinger-Fr(r) 6-3 290
• James Garnett-Fr(r) 6-1 306
• Kyle Bryant-Fr(r) 6-6 271
• Isiah Byler-Fr 6-4 315
• Clay Rolf-Fr 6-7 250
• Cody Silk-Fr 6-4 265

ST
Should be interesting to see who is kicking next year
K
• Jerry Phillips-So(r) 6-1 206
• Stephen Stein-Fr(r) 6-1 180
• Matt Oczypok-Fr(r) 5-11 168
LS
• Neal Dahlman-Sr 6-1 237
DL
This seems to be the strength of the team returning 3 starter and 7 of the top 8 players.
DE
• *Angelo Magnone-Sr.(r) 6-3 252
o 36-2.5-2
• Carlos Tipton-Sr.(r) 6-3 237
o 10-1-0
• Darius Smith-Jr.(r) 6-2 230
o 35-2.5-1
DT
• *Chris Jones-So. 6-2 274
o 24-1.5-1
• *Kevin Alvarado-Jr.(r) 6-2 274
o 28-4.5-2.5
• Nick Toresso-Sr. 6-3 283
o 13-1.5-1
• Andrew Johnson-Jr.(r) 6-4 267
o 7-0-0

• Ronnie Goble-Fr(r) 6-3 226
• Darius Gilbert-Fr. 6-2 250
• Darion Delaney-Fr. 6-5 257

LB
Might be the thinnest spot on the team losing all 3 starters
• Dwayne Woods-So. 6-1 217
o 22-0-0
• Eugene Fells-Sr.(r) 6-1 228
o 43-3.5-1

• DJ Lynch-Fr. 6-1 220

Im not 100% positive, but I did talk to Pronty awhile back and he had told me that he would be getting another year of eligibility...not positive if that is still the case...but just thought I would throw that in there...

I've heard that too. Seeing as he only played 1 game this season, unless the NCAA screws him over royally (which does happen), he'll be back.

If they don't let him come back, he should threaten the NCAA Board and go down there and burn it down!!!
