Hey all -- Just wanted to give you a heads-up on one of the coolest things I think we've done on BGSUFalcons.com. Freddie Barnes made it safely down to Orlando to win the Biletnikoff Award tomorrow night and we've got the first installment of his video blog of the trip. Check it out and keep going back to BGSUFalcons.com for more updates from Freddie and BGSU Football SID Dave Meyer!

Exactly. Freddie continues to impress me everytime he's on camera, be it ESPN or a camcorder with a screaming child over his shoulder.

Very well done...I hope Freddie wins this thing. I'm a bit worried about Tate from ND...Whatever happens Freddie you are, in my book, the best WR in college football...

Crush IDAHO!

+1 on that, Barnes is by far the BEST WR in college football!!! On top of it he is the most humble athletes Ive ever saw!! He definitely deserves this award far more than TATE!!

Hopefully the voters will use this potential mitigating factor laid out by the Tallahassee QB Club:

The leadership, self-discipline and desire displayed by the candidates both on and off the field.

And not this one:

The quality of the candidate's opposing teams.

I'm afraid however that Freddie's lack of exposure will cost him amongst voters who don't take this seriously.

Freddie you are just the coolest! You were totally robbed of the award that you deserved above all but you are a great, humble guy and an incredible football player. I knew you were going to do great things for us when you stepped up as qb at the Wisconsin game at Browns Stadium. We didn't win but you played a heck of a game. Thanks for 4 awesome years, it was so great watching you. You represented the University very well and made us very proud. You are an incredibly gifted and very humble athlete, something we don't see much of these days. Keep up the great work and your winning yet modest attitude, I think it will take you very far and I hope to keep watching you make incredible catches for years to come.

BTW It was a pleasure meeting you and getting your autograph for my son, who insisted you sign HIS name. Thanks for signing it for him:-)
