TULSA IN '10
BG has replaced the Maryland game with a home and home series with TULSA for the 2010 season..according to Sentinel-Tribune..
Looks like we open the season AT Tulsa...plus our other OOC games AT Mich., AT Troy, with only the Mashall game at home... Tulsa is to come to BG in 2013.... wonder why WE always seem to be the team to go AWAY first?
Correction: we open AT Troy on Sept.4, then Tulsa on Sept. 11, Marshall will be home opener on Sept. 18... Long time to wait for a 1st home game!!!!!!

That is a very manageable schedule. I sure wish we'd have one more of those at home, but whatever.
At Tulsa? Time for some vengeance! The players who were freshmen during the debacle in Mobile will be seniors next year. Something tells me our team will be very motivated for that game. If that's the case and they come out hitting on all cylinders, I should feel sorry for Tulsa.
Yeah, right!

We are probably playing in Tulsa on the front end because they officially own our asses after the GMAC debacle a couple of years ago...
But in all seriousness, who cares? It isn't as though they are likely to back out on us a "BCS conference" school might with all of the buyout money at their disposal. Unfortunately, I think the MAC is so crappy at scheduling that many schools are put in the position of altering schedules at the very last minute. A school isn't exactly in a position of power in desperate negotiations at that point, which may account for our always being on the back-end of 1-for-1 series.

It is not my intention to do away with government. It is rather to make it work - work with us, not over us; stand by our side, not ride on our back. Government can and must provide opportunity, not smother it; foster productivity, not stifle it. ~Ronald Reagan
Talking about teams backing on the Falcons, What about that USF Bulls team. What a bunch of pansies!! I hope we kill Tulsa next year, I really think we have a much better chance at winning this game as this wont be the same Tulsa team that kicked the crap out of us then.

It gives the MAC schedulers additional time to figure out a way for the game at BG to not happen at all. On the other hand-you go on to mention Troy in the next sentence-didn't Troy play here firstor is your game there the second away game of a two for one?

Rocket,
Yes, Troy DID come here first...but it's one of the FEW times in recent years that we've had a home and home with someone where THEY came to our place first.

I still think that the Troy game is going to be the toughest of the four to win. Much tougher than Tulsa, even Michigan. Going down there, 1st week in September into that heat and humidity against a battle-hardened opponent, that's going to be a tough task.

Looking forward to the game, we had a rough 2009 so this will be a good test for our team early next year to see where we stand. It will be a must win game for Tulsa with our OOC schedule next year.
This is a nice game. Hopefully Tulsa goes to BG in return.
Being selfish, I'd love to see BG schedule Rice or Houston (or another Texas school). That'd give me a shot to support the Falcons. There are probably 20 alumni in Houston that would buy tickets .
This is not a great non-conference schedule for us next year. We are losing our top 2 offensive players and then have to go into hostile enviroments 3 out of our first 4 to open the year. If we win 2 games it will be a miracle.
More than likely we will be 1-3 heading into conference.
