Quinn was Kelly's OC at both CMU and Cincinnati. First head coaching job, but he's a mastermind offensive coordinator and seems to have a very level head. Being a longtime Cincinnati fan, I watched a press conference of his about the Florida game and I was quite impressed. If he would have been the next Bearcats coach, I would have been extremely happy with the hire.
Its no secret that I'm no fan of Turner Gill. I think he can build a program with integrity and recruit extremely well, but I do not thing highly of him as a gameday coach. I know this is Quinn's first head coaching job, but I actually believe they are upgrading with this hire. Time will tell, but I believe this to be an excellent hire that is going to push Buffalo to be better than Gill would have ever gotten them. I wish him the best of luck except for when we play UB.
