Congrats Coach Clawson and Falcons...

Post by Falconfreak90 »

Yeah, this loss sucks big time but it was still a good year. Better than most expected and huge for Freddie and Tyler.

Seniors, you will be missed. Best wishes to all SR's and you underclassmen get ready to get back to work. We have a MAC title to win.

Congrats also to Idaho...gutsy call to go for the win and they did what they had to do.

Hear, Hear!
Way to go, guys. It's not fun to come out on the short end, but I'm proud to be a Falcon, and proud of the way in which you represent our University!

Well said.

A bitter pill for sure... but what a ride. No hanging the head down. Good luck to the seniors.

Great group of Seniors. Very enjoyable season with some very good games at the end of the year to make it here tonight. What a great group of competitors.
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Very well put, Freak. I was afraid to even open this forum tonight, but I'm glad to see that sanity still reigns in some quarters.

Thank you so much to the seniors and the coaching staff for making this year so much fun for us fans. ROLL ALONG!

I think the playu calling was outstanding all night. We threw the playbook at them and let it all hang out. I have no problem with our offensive play calling. Now the defense....

I second that. We ran our offense, put in a couple wrinkles, put up 42 points while still stopping ourselves twice in or near scoring position. Make a couple plays on D (or even getting your money's worth on the PI call at the end and tackling the guy) and we still win. As crappy as this feeling is, the run this team put together to even be in a bowl game makes up for it a little.

And hey, we still have a 3 game win streak over Toledo. :-D

The wildcat shovel-pass to Sheidler was a drive-killer, and I heard everyone in the bar saying "dumb call." And the way Idaho was moving the ball I think we should have gone for it on 4th and inches on our opening drive in the 2nd half. Sheehan could have easily leaned into the line for the 1st down.

It was a great game, and I'm proud of our guys, but we should have won by 2 TDs.

Really tough loss, it is amazing how the MAC can't win a bowl game. I just think it is funny how Clawson get's a pass and everyone talks about what a great year we had at 7-6. If Brandon was here and this game just happened, everyone would would be going crazy about how we underacheive and that the entire staff should be fired.
I think Clawson is a good coach and will do a solid job, but I think everyone's expectations will go up in the next couple of seasons and I hope that the fan's give him a chance to build up his program showing the same patience as after this game.
Tough loss...Go Falcons.

Contradicting one's self is a skill but you take it to an art form.

I think people saying it was a good year [most] are the same people [most] who ARE giving Clawson space to grow the program.
