Just saw Idaho's final TD up close on SportsCenter...sure looks like a trap to me. I know it's water under the bridge, but....opinions?

It was a catch. Officials ruled it so.

And I rule that this is a duck:
Looks like the play may be a topic of debate on ESPN's SportsNation today:

I was screaming with all my voice that it wasn't a catch at the very moment the ball grazed the grass. No one seems to be talking about this much at all. It's a shame that the Pac 10 refs helped Idaho get that completion.

I was too far from the screen yesterday to see it clearly - I asked my nephew if he thought that was a catch and before he could answer the refs came on and said "the play on the field stands as called."
Then I watched Sportscenter this morning and got a better look - it certainly looks like the ball is touching the ground when he "caught" it.

And the history books will only show the final score.

It was a great season, a great bowl game and great exposure for this program and university.
Coach Clawson is the real deal!
End of thread....

His clock management? The only thing he should have done differently is tell Freddie to go down at the 2 instead of scoring the touchdown.

Oh, please, what kind of fan are you? I didn't come in here and scream "we got screwed" or whine and cry. I wanted to discuss the play, and see what other's thought about it. I didn't even give it much of a second thought on Wednesday, watching the play on SportsCenter Thursday morning is what spurred me to post.
If you don't want to participate in the thread, skip it, and go to the "everything is peaches and cream" topic. But don't sit there and accuse me or anyone else who agreed or and least questioned the call as a wallower or whiners.

A bit clearer look at it.

Looks like a legit catch in that pic - seems like the ball is slightly above the ground. Nice find.
