I blew a gasket at the end of the game, about had a heart attack.

Then I thought ...

* Good God, is Freddie Barnes awesome. I'm going to miss his on-field production and off-field example.

* So glad to have gotten to meet Tyler Sheehan and his incredible grandmother. We'll miss him and her!

* When the season started (and well into the season) I figured we'd be lucky to get 4 wins. We ended up with a winning record and in a bowl game. Coach Clawson, I'm sold. You're the man.

* Willie Geter is so much fun to watch. Love that kid.

* Hats off to our seniors. They've ridden a real roller coaster - unbelievably great times, grueling times, a coaching change. Many thanks.

Finally ...

I simply cannot wait for two things.

1) Clawson to announce his recruiting class.

2) Next season ... and, hopefully, another roadtrip to BG!

I love BG FOOTBALL!!!!!

I was over it almost instantly because being on this end of a loss is hardly uncharted territory for me. My sports fan anguish far exceeds my high points, being a fan of the Bills, Sabres, Indians and BG.

Not my first rodeo... I know how to deal with heartbreak.

It was bitter, no doubt. Winning like that is exhilarating and losing is crushing. This team has NOTHING to hang it's head about...Every game was winnable except Boise State and they win all the time. Idaho and BG were very even coming in and a 1 pt loss is as even as you can get and lose. It really was an exciting game and both teams played their hearts out. Reminded me quite a bit a of the BG/Northwestern game in 2001...just back and forth. It sucks one team had to lose and it REALLY sucked it was us. Still, I loved the action.

We have a home and home series with Idaho starting in 2011, I think. That should be fun. I like playing those teams...and the other non bcs like Troy. These teams are good, solid teams.

Coach Clawson and his staff did a pretty solid job this year. Coach Clawson, thanks for the good season...I'm sure we'll have more good times down the road. It was fun to watch Tyler and Freddie play pitch and catch and nobody could do a thing about it. It was great seeing the team beat ut and mu in the same year. Won 7 games, finished 6-2 MAC...played in a bowl. We have a lot of SR's departing....nothing but the best to them and THANK YOU for choosing to be FALCONS.

This one game does nothing to diminish what BG accomplished this year. We had a game like this one against Kent State...right down to the last seconds and we were on the positive end. Same with Buffalo...but we also lost late winnable games against Mizzou, Marshall, Ohio and CMU. Sometimes your the bug and sometimes your the windshield.

Already looking forward to Signing Day and the Spring Game '10.
