Postseason All Star games

Post by Rollo83 »

Its a no-brainer that Freddie will be playing in an allstar game soemwhere (Blue-Grey, Senior Bowl, Hula Bowl, etc.).

I think Sheehan has a chance to play soemwhere as well.

Although Freddie certainly deserves the accolades and the MVP award of the bowl game...can't help but feel a bit sorry for Tyler.... threw for 387 yds and 4 TD's and barely gets a mention from anyone....the pick definitely hurt, but after 130+ throws, picks are going to happen...
Still, Sheehan has had an excellent career... I'd also like to see this career ... and his outstanding Sr. year get rewarded with an all star game... but doubt will happen...though Jr. QB's seem to be dominant this year, and aren't eligible for all-star games, so who knows?

Just from the MAC, you figure he's in line behind LeFevour (and apparently, Hiller). Who knows if Tebow will risk it at an all-star game, we'll have to wait for what Jesus and Urban (in no particular order) tell him to do. :D

I think Tyler should send a letter to each all-star game to let them know he's got 50 guaranteed family members buying tickets if he's selected.

I don't expect to see Tyler in an all star game, but I could be surprised.

I have read somewhere that Freddie is playing in the East West Shrine Game. I was a little disappointed, hoped he'd make the Senior Bowl, but this is still an opportunity for him to showcase his skills.

If Tebow is serious about being a QB in the NFL he'll be at one of those games

Agreed. I expect Tebow will get an invite to the Senior Bowl and he'd be a damn fool to decline the invite. That would be an opportunity for him to not only work with, and learn from, NFL coaching staffs, it's also the best opportunity to showcase himself to NFL scouts. That's the #1 All Star game for scouts and coaches...I'd be very surprised to not see Tebow on one of those teams.

Honestly, I don't think he expects to be a quarterback in the NFL. I think he expects to be something more of a wildcat player that can throw a la Josh Cribbs. His running and size are more valuable to NFL teams than his throwing "abilities."

He'll have a harder time breaking in since he doesn't have that breakaway speed or a big frame. If he can get just a little more physical and faster he could be an excellent UFA pick-up as a possession guy.
