Three star DE/LB Jayrone Elliott of Cleveland Glenville High School recently narrowed his list to Toledo and Bowling Green. After a tough decision, Elliott finally called the coaches of the program he's decided to spend the next four years at.
At about 4:15pm today, Elliott called Coach Beckman to commit to the Toledo Rockets.
Elliott is rated the #56 outside linebacker prospect in the country by scout.com. The 6-3, 210 pound prospect had offers from Ball State, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Indiana, Michigan State, Minnesota, Syracuse, Toledo, and UCONN.
Rocket Digest will bring you more on Elliott's commitment to Toledo later, including

I am glad he signed with TU. I really don't think the kid will ever be eligible to play.

ut with the MAC's best class this year?

Some of these guys in ut's class may not qualify.
I've heard many times over the last decade about Akron or Kent State having the best class in the MAC each year and look where they end up.
This was interesting...
"From everybody I've talked to, I've heard nothing but good things about the academic plan that Coach Beckman has put in place," Nowicki said.
"I think that if somebody is going to have a chance to succeed that is having trouble with academics,
Toledo is a great place for them to go, because he's really made that an emphasis."
Signing Day is hours away...
GO FALCONS!

Hey as long as they know how to shave points to get under the spread they will do great at Toledo. I wonder how many of these kids have read the Maurice Clarrett Guide to College?

The guys that run the Central Michigan Rivals site seem to think Toledo might just have the best recruiting class in MAC history, so don't take Brian's word for it.....take Tyler Parsons' word for it.

The guy that runs the site also thinks BG's colors are black and orange.

From the above linked Chip Fan Site recruiting analysis:
"TOLEDO ROCKETS Overview: Where to start with Toledo and head coach Tim Beckwith. Well?up until now they have assembled on of the top recruiting classes the MAC has ever seen. Their 26. . ."
Kinda lose credibility when you don't even get the name of the coach correct in your recruiting analysis.

If you take credibility away from everyone that prints a mistake like that, then you have no newspaper or online sources with credibility anymore. Everyone news source makes mistakes like that. Heck, I go to the Toledo Blade online and find mistakes nearly every day.
