I hope so too, but wasn't there a post some time back (or maybe it was a brief talk with his dad, can't recall for sure)...that Mark wasn't happy sitting...and maybe doesn't see much hope of getting P.T. It'd be truly sad if it was true as I know most of us were so impressed with how gung ho he was, only 2 yrs. ago.

Yes, Marc has left and is enrolled at Youngstown State.

It had nothing to do with playing time what so ever.

Sad to hear this. When I knew him his freshman year he was all about BG and loved being here. Best of luck to him.

Sh*t. That sucks for us BG fans. Is Marc gonna play at YSU? I hope so cuz we're only about 50 min from YSU and could catch a game or two on BG off weeks.

Best of luck, Marc...know the Freaks still love ya!

He wasn't happy with his amount of playing time at BG. And is listed as a signee with Youngstown State.

Hmmm...Mr Stevens says that wasn't the case.

Yep...best of luck to Marc. He will forever be a part of AZZ.com lore. That little blurb on top of the forum re NCAA regs is the direct result of young Mr Stevens eating a hot dog or two at the AZZ.com tailgate when he was a prospective student athlete...

Other boards talk a good game...this one takes it a step further an violates NCAA regulations!!!

And can you really call yourself a fan if you aren't willing to break the rules for your school?

:prayer:

I'll just echo the sentiments of the others, it's a shame to see Marc move on, but best of luck to him at Youngstown State. Like Flip mentioned, he'll always be a part of BG lore. He seemed like a great kid and he was truly excited about becoming a Falcon...we really can't ask for anything more from a recruit. It's a shame that our gift of brats, pizza rolls, and perch turned into an issue, but I guess that's the NCAA.

He'll be missed from the Falcon family, but I wish him nothing but the best as a Penguin.
